PS3s lack of AAA exclusives

The only AAA exclusive for PS3 isnt even an exclusive. Its just a port or rehash. And whats even funnier is that the sequel to their only AAA (9.0 barely made it)"exclusive" sigma will have sequels which will all be 360 exclusive. Sothe biggest tittle which should be drawing people to the PS3 is actually drawing people to the 360 for NG2 and beyond.

There are 6 AAA games that are on XBOX 360 which are on no other game console. They are: Gears of War, Oblivion w/shivering isles, Forza, GRAW, Bioshock and Perfect Dark.

And theres 7-10 more XBOX 360 console exclusives that rank higher than the real #1 exclusive for PS3 which is Resistance 8.6 not Sigma.

Plus to add on to that a lot of the multi platforms are better on 360, the XBOX is $200 cheaper, and online is way way way better than PS3 network.

I own both systems so Im not just a 100% bias fan boy. But does it not look just totally one sided on the next gen console wars?

PS3 has its +s the Blue Ray DVD player which is awesome. But you pay $200 more for less than $200 more you can buy the HD DVD player for the 360 which actually wont even play off the same rom of the 360 which saves rare and tear on the console. But if a $400 console comes out that will help the system do better but not for people who owned it early. I bought my system have had no games to play on it and the value has just dropped like a third of its value.

And PS3 has some exclusives coming out soon which all have very good chances a AAA like MG4, Kill Zone, GOW 3, FF 13, and GT4.But 360 has ones just as good like Halo 3, Mass Effect, Ninja Gaiden 2, Fable 2.

As for me, I haven't been addicted to a game like I am to Warhawk in I don't know how long. Regarding blu-ray on the PS3 or hd-dvd as an attachment for the 360, I didn't know that there was a great importance of a difference?? As for me, I am enjoying my PS3 and 360... but you continue with your fanboy rants of what is better than the other...

I guess I just want toknow whythere are so many cows and sheep still saying that their system is better than the 360. It doesnt even make sense when they act like they are competing.

AllI got to say about PS3 online is that you get what you pay for pretty much. You haven't done onlineconsole gaming until you do it on XBOX. PS3 online sucks fat chocolate salty balls.

The cost involved in the Blu-Ray drive I believe is exaggerated..the cost has more to do with the components being used in general being more expensive. The PS3 uses an advanced cooling system and high quality capacitors..in fact, heck its pretty much high-quality all around. This necessarily adds additional cost.

The 360 by comparison is cheaply made, the major issues are well known so I find no need to elaborate there..but just take a look at the hardware teardowns of the two. The 360 has relatively cheap heatsinks and small inexpensive fans. The PS3 by comparison has heatpipes and a larger low-RPM fan..theres also a lot more metal in the system than in 360 which adds to cost and weight.

The PS3 also has a power supply that more than meets the needs of the system (the system uses around 300w, the PSU is 480w), the 360 doesn't which is one of the reasons aftermarket coolers can cause problems.

Additional cost is not due so much to Blu-ray (diodes are currently only roughly $5), the additional cost is due to build quality which also directly benefits you in a low failure rate.

oook.... Shivering isles was not AAA.... GeOW, Bioshock are NOT exclusive they are on computer too. Forza is a racing game, and doesnt have fun online in comparison to Motorstorm. And perfect dark... ok ill give u thta, despite it being well known to be one of the most overrated games ever amongst cows AND lemmings.

meh as long as a console has a decent amount of AA titles Im happy, which atm ps3 doesnt even have those.

Which is an argument which is invalid in system wars. If 50 million PCs can run the newest games (which I consider fairly likely) then those are "exclusives" in name only as it far outstrips the current 360 install base.

I guess you didn't get the memo on system wars, if its on PC, its not exclusive. Therefore, 360 loses exclusivity to GeOW pretty soon, Oblivion, Graw, and Bioshock. Does this take away how great of games they are? By no means... However, you cannot argue their exclusivity since they are or will be on PC.

The world doesn't revolve around you either..I know of a ton of people who prefer RFoM online to Gears online and last I checked Warhawk was considered "great" here. Decent has no value range here, although it means 6s elsewhere.

Moderators have ruled that you can not exclude PCs from discussion here, the 360 has a lot of its top games are non-exclusive..you are just going to have to deal with that. Console exclusive is not an argument..if you can purchase the game for yourself on more than one system its not exclusive.

svp, if you go simply by GS scores, which most people do here in SWs (which is why so many of the arguments here are laughably silly and I read most of them for pure amusement), then you slightly have a point. Oblivion with the Shivering Isles is coming to PS3, though, with the GOTY edition coming out in October.

Other than that - if you like the 360 more, good on ye! I own both and have spent more time with my PS3, since I end up buying a lot of multiplats for my PS3 because my 360 has died on me three times since purchasing it in January of 2005.

me too i play my fare share of AA and even some A games if i like the genre and style of the game.

but im sure some people didnt like zelda ocrania of time and liked nba live 08 beter. i was one of them. but it doesnt mean its arguable which is the better game.
