PS3s lack of AAA exclusives

Even I as a cow think that Mass effect seem like a great game and other games interest me in the wii or Xbox360. But most of the games I like come are/going to be in the PS3. The only AAA exclusive for PS3 isnt even an exclusive. Its just a port or rehash. And whats even funnier is that the sequel to their only AAA (9.0 barely made it)"exclusive" sigma will have sequels which will all be 360 exclusive. Sothe biggest tittle which should be drawing people to the PS3 is actually drawing people to the 360 for NG2 and beyond.

There are 6 AAA games that are on XBOX 360 which are on no other game console. They are: Gears of War, Oblivion w/shivering isles, Forza, GRAW, Bioshock and Perfect Dark.

And theres 7-10 more XBOX 360 console exclusives that rank higher than the real #1 exclusive for PS3 which is Resistance 8.6 not Sigma.

Plus to add on to that a lot of the multi platforms are better on 360, the XBOX is $200 cheaper, and online is way way way better than PS3 network.

I own both systems so Im not just a 100% bias fan boy. But does it not look just totally one sided on the next gen console wars?

yeah PS3 still has the multiplatforms like R6, GRAW 2, Darkness, Madden and other sport games. but match up exclusives and 360 has like 15 higher rated games that arent on PS3

Failed once again.. Gears of War came out before the first year was up.. So again MS produced 2 AAA titles within it's first year..

Less then 1 1/2 years Forza came out.. less then 2 Years Halo 3 comes out.. Mass Effect will also probably score a AAA..

His point was that 100% of XBox 360s are defective. (not 100% have failed) and that Xbox 360 in general, as a platform are unreliable.

Believe it or not, my father is a responsible person who has provided for a family for over 30 years, and he isn't a console fanboy that posts LOL messages on internet forums, battling 13 year olds for console supremacy. :lol

Your idea of an advancedc ooling system is just one large fan on bottom? It cools better than 360 just due to the fact 360 uses crap x-clamp connectors in too small of a case, but it is far from ADVANCED. Plus I have bought a lot of capacitors even huge expensive one like mallory 150s and they around .50 each!!! OMG the cost LMAO.

Plus no manufacturer of capicitors are good anymore a few years back all companies switched recipes for some reason and now the all leak after a few years.Instead of just believing that because a handful of cows told you that look into things yourself. The components in the the blu-ray player (example the diodes are $8 ) are probably the most expensive partBESIDES the cost of the Cell/RSX/RAM/ect MISC chipsets are definately the most costly components. I don't buy the build quality crap either PS3 is manufactured in China/Taiwan (same as 360)probably in some pseudo sweat shop just as is 99.9% of all electronics.rexoverbey

Compared to any previous or current console the PS3's cooling is extremely advanced. It has heatpipes running throughout and focuses upon the cell and RSX (which generate a lot of heat) constructing a virtual windtunnel that keeps them cool with a low-RPM 160mm fan. Thats extremely advanced compared to the 360 and Wii's cooling systems which are hardly better than that of the old Intel Pentium II.

You correctly bring up RAM as an expensive component (XDR isn't exactly as cheap as DDR2) but I will say again..the Blu-Ray drive is not the primary cause for the additional cost. It doesn't add that much to the cost.

The PS3 has $40 in assembly costs alone. Add on the XDR RAM ($48 ) , I/O Bridge ($57), cooling system ($22) and hardware enclosure ($33), and miscellaneous other hardware costs ($148 ) and you begin to see the real reason it costs more. The components are more elaborate or of a more exacting quality and thus cost more.

360 doesn't have that type of hardware cage, they cheap on the assembly costs ($6.10) and obviously use cheaper components than PS3 does (there was a nearly $300 discrepancy in iSupply's hardware breakdowns between the costs of the mobo and included components).
