Probably any device that's big enough can have infestations.
Speaking of the PS4, the 1TB PS4 Slim will be out in NA tomorrow. GameStop says it’s out on April 20.

This might be the most bizarre topic I've seen on System Wars in a while. Thankfully I am not a victim of this infestation yet.
Really, this is the most bizarre one?
This is the most bizarre I've seen in a while. Of course there's the one that are like spam or obvious jokes, but this one might actually have some relevance to the board.
@ConanTheStoner: good play of words.
I've found particles of green stuff in my controller, No roach though.
Weird. But the real question here is, why do they keep garbage bags full of roaches heaped up in a room?
Better be joint roaches.
The electronics are where they go after they've collected food and need a place to eat/lay eggs/ shit. They don't go there only if there's food on/near it, they go because they like dark, warm places, like many insects. And your apartment/House can be fucking spotless and sterile as a vat of pure alcohol, but if your nasty ass neighbors have an infestation, you're getting it too, regardless of how clean you are.
Once they're in a building, they go wherever the hell they want and they're a bitch to get rid of, because even after everything's been scrubbed to death, they'll just eat the insulation out of your walls and the binding glue out of your books. They eat pretty much anything, really. They're fucking ancient adaptable as hell. They would be fascinating if they weren't filthy, disease-laden shit factories. Let's just say me, my 2 sisters, and my parents had a fucking trouble getting rid all of them when I was a kid. The horror :(
Ants is a another story lol.

Ants are also attracted to electronics because when electric cables get old they release a sweet substance. That's why is not uncommon to find lines of ants going into old electric machines.
@ShepardCommandr: ha nonsense. unless you are in the high Arctic or Antarctica... you will have insects in your house, just not visible.
pound for pound insect biomass on planet earth far outstrips all other form on animal life.
Top of the list is single cell Bacteria but they are not animals. interesting side not though, about 75% of your current body weight is made up of cells whose DNA is not yours.. in other words.. you are pretty much a habitat for (on average) about 8 stone worth of parasitic/symbiotic bacteria.
in short.. nobody is clean.. ever.. not even trump and his hyper cleanliness
@godlygamer: Sony has some of the best engineers in the world. Particularly when it comes to console design. And have been making electronics far longer than MS. If that's the design Sony saw best, and does not present an overheating issue to note. Then its a job well done by a group of experienced professional workers.
Now unless you have more experience in manufacturing and design than Sony engineers. That has quite the track record of making a variety of quality electronics, and sliming down existing products. Then you can make a valid criticism backed by design based facts and not feelings. Otherwise, if your only complaint is that roaches can get inside. Then maybe you should get rid of your tv too. Which has even larger vents. And is probably more expensive. So it would be a greater financial loss, and have a larger environmental impact. In the event it has to be thrown out.
My TV has small vents... It is an LED TV. Sony just made a design flaw with this not accounting for insects that would craw under the system.
XBox One stays cold from not having any games to play on it.
Xbox One has plenty of games and no roaches clogging it up.
We should call it RoachStation from now on
Yeah excellent. Everytime they say the Xbox has no games we can call it RoachStation. I might even put this thread in my signature. Oh man Sony must be livid. I picture the CEO stomping his feet demanding they fix the problem (too late though!).
That is disgusting. There are very few things in life I hate, but cockroaches make me sick just looking at them. Stay the hell away from our consoles and stick to the bathroom basically, lol
I know the PlayStation 4 is great, but cockroaches love all electronics not just the PS4. If that guy had bugs in his PS4, he should check his tv.
TV vents are smaller for the most part especially the newer models.
We have an infestation here too we call them Lems.
What on Earth are you talking about?
So I can either purchase the one entertainment system to rule them all or a glorified roach hotel?
It really means you are a nasty person to have any roaches at all. Clean your nasty azz house. XD
Last time I checked Ps4 ruled them all unless you are delusional..
Roach infestations, battery life problems, poor customer service, etc. Is there anything Sony does right?

Doesn't seem like it.
EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW. I guess this is what happens when you avoid the One entertainment system to rule them all.

I got to say, I do not think I could have said it better myself. I know I already affirmed my disgust in this topic but I felt as though this deserved a bump to show how disgusting the PS4 is compared to the Xbox One/One S.
Thanks for posting the video. I feel bad for the people that have to repair the roach infestations.
90% sure my PS4 has roaches. At my last apartment the roaches were small and starving over here the roaches look like they lift weights.
