900p was more confirmed than 1080p,the whole 1080p came in recent days,still higher than 720p.

I'm getting tired of this whole what games are 720p and 1080p thng now. If the game looks great and plays great then whats the big deal. Console gamers have been playing games for years with games being less than 1080p and 60 fps and now this is become and selling point to where you won't buy a game cause it's not? How do you know now what your missing if you've haven't bee playing on that this whole time... Games like GTA, Last of Us, Injustice none of these games are 1080p 60 fps but we played them and enjoyed the heck out of these games. If a game isn't at those resolutions at launch will that make you enjoy the game less? I mean it's just really really silly now that this is being so big of an issue now. If you a PC gamer then I can understand our grip cause you'll been playing games at this resolution for years but if you're a console game like myself, just enjoy and know that the games on the next gen consoles will look better than current gen while being able to give you more so just relax and lets enjoy the launch when it comes next month.

This is not acceptable, even Wii U games are 1080p. Games are only playable in 1080p.

Different games. BF4 is 60fps, 64 players, large maps, land/air/sea vehicle warfare, destruction... Ryse is linear, 30fps... lol.

And 900p for PS4 version of BF4 is higher than the 720p version on Xbone.

No matter what excuse you use 1080p > 900p just like 900p > 720p and just like 720p > any sub HD res.

Remember that BF4 isn't Ryse which use very enclosed areas and heavy path guided gameplay.

Battlefield most likely looks like ass on everything but PC. If they toned Ryse graphics to that point they would probably get it to run at 60fps with open maps as well. Crytek is easily better than DICE when it comes to the technical stuff.

Even with both consoles on pre-order I went PC for BF4. I just wanted to experience the best version of this game. None of my xbox friends play bf anyways so I didn't feel the need to follow suit.

Looking forward to playing the crap out of this on PC in full glory until the 15th and 22nd.

I bet 1080p will be a selling point in the next BF game in consoles. It's probably a time issue thing. But yeah there is no way I'm getting BF4 now.

If a game is 1080p and sucks, it still sucks just at a higher resolution, lol. Great games require a number of factors to be in its favor, not just resolution. Both Ryse and Killzone look amazing, but Killzone has never been considered an amazing series and Ryse, although it looks good to me, would be shocking if it even got a 8 as a review score. Give me a great game at whatever resolution allows for a rock solid frame rate, and if I ever become such a supreme graphics whore I'll ditch console gaming and build a beast of a PC.

But you can't deny Ryse is just to constrictive and enclosed to the extreme,it makes Uncharted 3 look open world.

Says who exactly? Plus whats to say the 1080p won't be the norm after a year? Console gamers need to realize that this is a new generation of consoles that aren't even out yet. Programmers and publishers are just learning the specs of the consoles as we speak so I'm sure there are things they have to iron out and will over the course of the future. If these consoles are going to be around for 5, 6, 7 years, they have time to figure everything out. Look at the games that are coming out now at the end of the console cycle right now. If they couldn't make it 1080p, they should have just kept it at 720p so at least some people could have played in their native resolutions. And realistically, 720p vs 1080p is pretty irrelevant on consoles since most setups couldn't tell the difference anyway because they are not sitting inches away from the screen like on the PC. The need for 1080p is only there because television manufacturers added the resolution to make 720p and 1080i owners want to prematurely upgrade. Fact of the matter is, you can't even see the difference unless your set is about 50 inches or above unless you are like a kid who has to sit right in front of the television.

It's demanding at ultra settings. Who says PS4 version even runs at those settings? We don't know what settings it runs at. Could be high or very high. Could even be medium. We don't know until we can play it first hand and take screenshots directly and compare them.
