This article suggests rumors very similar to the Edge one, some games can run in stable 1080p 30 fps on Xbox One and can't reach stable 1080p 60 fps because of driver problem and the solution is to go to 900p 60 fps. But they said that PS4 version will be downgraded because of political issue. I was angry but today the article about Ubi Soft not knowing if the game is in 720p or 1080p on PS4 and Xbox One give credits to rumor and BF4 sub 1080p too.

Doesn't effect the first party games which will be among the best.

I'm also pretty sure Watchdogs and especially AC4 will be 1080p. If not they just get dismissed like Battlefield 4.

Yeah that would be some bullshit, but Microsoft has a major deal with EA so I will keep an eye on their games.

It doesn't really matter as long as Sony keep churning out epic exclusives that will take advantage of the hardware.

The fact that there are already games running on the XBox One at 1080P @ 60fps means developers need to try harder and get more familar with the hardware. Obviously both systems are capable of this and it will probably be the starndard in a couple years. The PS4 only has one exclusive running at 1080P @60fps (with fram drops) and it's the multiplayer portion of KZ:SF. That's it. Even Infamous is at 1080p @30fps, so I don't know what's Sony's excuse. Those games aren't multiplat.

Exactly. The way I see it is that 3rd parties will make their games similar for both platforms at the beginning until they see what console becomes "the console" for multiplat sales. Then they will make that console the lead platorm and just port to the others.

1. we will never know, barring a flat out admission by someone who named himself/herself and states it, that this will happen for any game.

2. Both MS and Sony have done this in the past, and I expect it tpo continue to a degree, but not by every single dev.

3. I could care less about any of this. I don't expect multi billion dollar companies to play nice. That's for Sony or MS.

Microsoft also demands publishers release games with at least the same content "on-disc" across platforms.

Speaking to Eurogamer in a new interview, European Xbox boss Chris Lewis confirmed and defended the policy.

"We're a little biased, so obviously we're going to look to protect our own space as best we can and get exclusivity," he said.

"Whilst I can't be specific about the terms and conditions, you can be very confident we seek to maximise our own advantage to ensure the playing field is even, and certainly plays to our advantage wherever possible.
