It's going to come on the heels of Sekiro and Nioh 2. While it likely won't match them in gameplay, Tsushima has a more interesting setting (Mongol invasion of Japan) and better production values, and it might have a better story.

Well it's hard to think of any AAA title these days on any platform that isn't cut-scene heavy so I guess you've just given up gaming completely then? Outside of Uncharted Sony's games are no more cut-scene heavy than games on any platform. You'd know this if you actually played the games instead of just talking out of your ignorant ass.

Bloodborne, Horizon Zero Dawn, Ratchett and Clank, The Last Of us, Days Gone, even Killzone the only people who would call these movie games are chumps who have never played them, like you.

Multiplats are of course the same on all platforms and games like Witcher 3, Resident Evil 2 etc etc are all cut-scene heavy so it looks like you're shit out of luck avoiding it. Of course there's no point mentioning MS exclusives since they don't have any.

You'd better stick to your driving game and random indie garbage to guarantee an extremely low quality but cut-scene free gaming experience.

Except for the fact it's a literal love letter to samurai films throughout history, and is essentially a "samurai sim", beyond the scale of anything attempted to date.

It's the only reason I have to be interested in a Sony platform at this point. It's the samurai game I've wanted to play for over a decade and a half now.

'Sony's games are full of cutscenes which is why i've never even considered a PS4, and never will. They're games are made for casuals that when done you walk away and never touch again, they are left for people like you to fight for them on forums which ends up taking more time than the time you spent with the actual games lol, and this game will be no different.

Why are people so sensitive when it comes to Sony's games? Whenever someone says they prefer more gamey games over Sony's more interactive scripts-like games, they instantly get jumped on (often with an insult) by some Sony fan. Makes the forum entertaining so I'm not really complaining, just wondering why that is..

@Litchie: It's not only "sony fans" saying this. It's a tired meme that is mostly employed by people using it without principle *or a principle of using it on sony games.* You don't even have to like those games to be able to point it out, for example, I don't really play uncharted at all. Don't really care for it, although I can appreciate the accomplishments pulled off by the devs.

For example, one can search through the catalog of sonys games and find that most of them aren't actually cinematic joyride games, like god of war (issue one, hilarious when it is used on that game bc is demonstrates that the person has not even bothered to watch gameplay), that people using the term as an epithet against other people ("you enjoy casul movie games") can be found immediately breaking this principle playing other passive walking sims and/or cutscene heavy games (issue two), and finally the disdain is in part directed at high production value rather than anything of substance (issue three).

It wouldnt be annoying if it wasnt as common as it is coupled with the absolute lack of any principle accompanied with its use. Games like Halo have long polished cutscenes, and that does not make halo bad at all. Emphasis on that point as well as the fact that its mostly just people groaning at high production value, as if games can't be polished or something.

Looks okay so far. This definitely has the potential to fall into the Ubisoft open world trap, though.

Bit disappointing watching the second trailer. Looked like it would be slower pace with heavy damaging strikes, something like Mount And Blade, guess was expecting too much.

I think it's the only ps4 game I'm interested in. Won't be buying a ps5 for years, if ever, so I'll snag it when it comes out. If they nail the gameplay I'll be excited. If it's a game that plays itself l, I'll probably pass.
