that shouldn't be what drives your purchase and if that is what drives your purchase then get a PC.  Consoles will never stand up to PC from a technical standpoint. 

So what else is new.? The PS3 was dated when it came out on 2006,already there were stronger GPU on 2006.. The RSX was a 7800 with 7600 bandwidth,7600 ROP's and 256MB of ram the 7800 had a 512MB version.. By the end of 2006 the 8000 series was already out so was the 7900 and the X1900 and so on..tormentos

SW has been bombarded with threads and posts about how the PS4 will be as powerful as a high end PC from mad cows.  When people told them this was fantasy they were quickly shouted down as being "butthurt" and "jelly."  Now we have video proof that the mad cows were indeed mad and we should just ignore it?  No I think not.  Just like when BF4 came out and put KZ:SF to shame we should be able to discuss this new video comparison.  Its only fair.  This is system wars after all right?  If this hard gut punch of truth and reality is too much for you to handle maybe you should stay out of this thread.

BF4 will be less demanding than what many think.  DICE are WIZARDS of PC optimization.  BF3 was extremely scalable.  I expect the same quality and performance from BF4.  DICE doesn't play when it comes to battlefield on PC.

Frames matter though. At least for me, going back to 30fps just isn't gonna happen. I've grown far too accustomed to 60fps, and I don't plan on changing.

I never said PC will look a generation ahead.  But this thread is just as legit as all the 8GBDDR5 threads.  I'm not really trying to argue with you.  You seem reasonable from I gather from most of your posts but the point is PC will always be a step ahead of consoles.  Apperently not everyone gets this.  Just look at the guy I quoted before you just posted talking about how consoles dictate how games will look on PC.  Its delusion like that that makes threads like this legit.

The PS4 is an impressive piece of tech and you will be amazed what devs can do with it cpu+7850.5 APU combination for years to come. As of now its the most balanced and best console ever build at least until we find out more about the nextbox.  I will probably have one in my living room.  But its not as powerful as my computer.  And during its mid and late life when devs are squeezing the living daylight out of it, maximizing every core and ever bit of RAM available it will not outperform my PC which would have since been upgraded.  The games will still look amazing and I will still be happy to play exclusives on it but my PC will still be superior. That is all. You realize this but please don't act like others don't.  Or like system wars isn't the place for giving delusional consolites the beat down.

Considering how Epic "loves" PC gaming, Elemental and Infiltrator demos are probably from console exclusives that will never appear on PC. The same happened with the first Unreal Engine 3 screenshots and demos. Only later it was discovered those demos were Gears of War.

OK i thought you were reasonable but you are just another one of the butthurt mad cows.  Todays ownage seems to be getting to you.

1)PC has options.  You are free to get what ever range of GPU you like.  There is not "enthusiest" option for consoles.  If there was guess what?  You would probably get one.  There are cards for everyone on PC.  Me, I like a good solid entry level high end card.  Something around 300 to 350. Maybe 380 if the price per dollar is right.  Now there are enthusiest with deep pockets who just love to be on the cutting edge of tech.  They will spend top dollar to get the best of the best available.  They will even sometimes get two or even THREE of these $1,000 cards.  That is their parogotive.  A lot of people who get these set ups use them for more than just gaming.  There are some really impressive calculations you can do with a graphics cards since unlike regular cpus they have hundreds or even thousands of cores.  Earlier this month a professor broke the record for Pi calculation using 690s, 680s, and a bunch of 570s to do the calculations.  http://www.karrels.org/pi/  There are numerous reasons someone would want a super GPU and a lot of it is just not gaming.

2)There are effects on PC that just aren't possible on console.  Things like extreme tessalation, tressfx, PhysX, a plethora of AntiAlliasing options, the list goes on.  You don'g get these effects on console now.  And when the new consoles get them there will be newer effects that come out that will again only be for PC (which makes me laugh at that guy who said consoles dictate how PC games look. I mean seriously dude?)  This is why we pay for the tech so we can get all the latest effects that are available for gaming.   These effects don't come to consoles till the next generation.  Some people like to be on the cutting edge others don't.  To each his own.

I like to look at PC gamers as the power users of gamers.  We build rigs.  We configure specs. We research what the latest tech is.  We generally have more knowledge of the whats at the forefront of the gaming industry.  Just because you don't see value in all this doesn't mean others don't.  The money is irrelavent.  I get just as much satisfaction building a $450 rig that can play all the latest games as I do when I built my rig that cost me $1100.  Its all part of the fun to me.  I have friends who hit me up all the time wanting to build a rig.  They give me a budget and I cookk something up.  Its what I like to do.  A lot of PC gamer are the same.  We like to talk tech. 

Anyway you seem a little butthurt.  Clearly todays dose of reality cut you deep.  Its OK, your console will still be great.  No need to cry about my PC being better.

I could care about graphics these days since gameplay hasnt evolved instead taken steps back in evolution.

by the time the ps4 release the GTX680(or equivalent) will be mid range card, so it will be cheap. last year bought2 HD7950(and OC them to 1200Mhz) for £460 both, and this gpu set up is around 2 times more powerfull than a single GTX680 and around 4 times more powerfull than ps4, so the point is that ps4 is 4 times weaker than a gpu setup that cost $460 and it will be almost 22 months old by the time ps4 hit the shelf.
