@tormentos: "Look whos talking...lol"

Fantastic response. Truly one of a literary mastermind for our generation. Through all the broken English, backwards logic, and Sony-dick-sucking, I would have never, ever thought you were capable of such a beautiful response that gets the minutiae of debate down to a science.

Brilliant response, fuckface.

75 million active steam users...

15% of 75 million = 11.25 million PC's better than a PS4

11.25 MILLION!

/THREAD

Wow that really change everything...lol

There are GPU there that outpower the PS4 which are as old as 2010 2011 from 2 different brand of cards, and both combined have only 11.25 million cards that are more powerful than the PS4.?

11.24 Divided by 4 years = 2.81 million per year, basically even the xbox one has a way higher adoption rate than strong GPU on PC,most people don't go for the ultra powerful they just go for the average or low end and is proven by steam stats.

That maths makes no sense.

Oh it sure does..

There are 11.24 million people with stronger GPU than the PS4 on PC,even that GPU stronger than the PS4 exist as far as 2010,so basically even that GPU that are stronger than PS4 GPU are available since 2010,only 11 million people own 1 that is some low ass sh** adoption rate and basically prove that strong GPU adoption on PC is ultra slow the PS4 should pass that number without problem this year and by next will have a higher adoption rate than PC with stronger GPU,basically those with strong GPU on PC are a minority.

What the **** are you trying to say?! First of all, what makes you assume that this is the solution to find the adoption rate for high end video cards? Second, what makes you think that the Steam stats are an accurate representation of PC gamers the world over? And finally, having a higher adoption rate means nothing.

What's your premise in dividing 11.24 by four years? Why four years? What's your reasoning for it?

Adoption rates..

Few people own a stronger than PS4 GPU even that they have been available since 2010 and way before the PS4 was out, people with strong GPU on PC are a minority.

I could see what you're trying to say. But, you have to remember that the lowest common denominator from 2010 to most of 2013 were the PS3 and 360. If we go by majority rule, those 7th gen consoles are still the lowest common denominator right up to this point and will continue to be until the 8th gen consoles are the majority.

On the PC side, there are plenty of PCs and laptops that exceed 7th gen consoles.

It might make more sense to revisit this thread next year when the PS4 user base will be much bigger.

Right now, the PS4 is pretty much in the same spot as those godly PCs with regards to top end versus the majority.

It's actually closer to 17% of Steam users, but again, Steam is not the entirety of PC gaming, and in fact it's the minority in territories that are very PC oriented (such as South Korea, China, Russia).

Still, ignoring ALL of PC gaming EXCEPT for Steam that puts the total at over 22 million users (based on the last source of the Steam install base - not just acive users).

That's more than PS4 + Xbone users combined and doubled.
