Master Kaz is in charge now, and he steam rolls the competition. No mercy Microsoft will be left in the dust.After the ridiculous claims of the PS3's power compared to the 360, do you cows never learn?

4770 is not counted since this design is not DX11.0 and it doesn't have 5000's decoupled color-ROP and Z-ROP design.[QUOTE="ronvalencia"][QUOTE="Chozofication"]

AMD has it's own tick-tock model i.e. die shrink and new design was rolled into one e.g. AMD GCN.
TICK = New design e.g. 2900, 5870,
TOCK = Refined e.g. 3870(fix issues from 2900), 6970 (fix issues from 5870).
Intel is not bold enough to roll a die shrink and new design into one.

Apparantly not :P
Better to have hyped and lost than never to have hyped at all. Only ***** play it safe.Â
Hyping is fine... claiming domination before the machines are even revealed however... That's just silly!

That explains it, I was following the Intel model.
There's makes more sense because tock has more oomph to it.
To be honest we should just let cows have their fun, after all they have just been completely owned for 7 years by MS in every department. Let them have their short time of glory before MS puts the final nail in Sony's coffin. It's the respectable thing to do. :lol:

Rumors posted in a forum = fact on on System Wars. Guess this is like the 77 million PS3s sold "official" numbers. Calves are so gullible.Â
[QUOTE="Desmonic"]Meh, more rumours. Also it won't hurt thr Durange since most current rumours point them as being pretty damn equivalente so... at best, the first few Acti/Ubi titles will look worse on PS4 because of this, so kinda of a bad move by Sony honestly. Kaz went to far! :PtormentosThe common rumor points and Durando been behind Orbis considerably. I don't know what site you read but is like this now.. Durando 1.2TF 12 CU 16 ROP's 3GB DDR3 Ram + 32MB of ESRAM. Orbis 1.8TF 18 CU -- 4 dedicated for physics,animations,lighting 14 CU for rendering. 32 RPO's 4GB GDDR5 by the old rumor,the new one claims sony is thinking about matching MS 8GB. The only reason any multiplatform could run better on Durango,would be because of plain sabotage,any game that use Orbis 4 CU for physics,animation or lighting would have to draw on durango from the 12 CU or CPU,this will hit performance,mind you that Orbis still has 14 CU for rendering which is 2 more than Durando has total and without taking penalty.. There is no way Durango can keep up,with this scenario,unless MS has some magic hidden power i just don't see it.

8GB of slow, cheap RAM. Only 5 of which is dedicated to gaming.
First of all Microsoft had been pretty grimy too with the Xenon using R&D from the Cell to help create the processor in the XBox 360, then rushing the 360 to market resulting in the RROD fiasco. Now karma is coming back to bite them hard.Â
Â
Here is what I think happened:Â
Sony describes unimpressive spec details Ubisoft and Activision regarding the specs for the Ps4 knowing full well that these specs would get leaked to Microsoft. These specs are believable because of Sonys losses on the PS3, the assumption is that Sony would want to create a cheaper console and because of WiiU's underwhelming performance capabilities and the thought that Sony would follow suit. Microsoft, looking to once again to heavily rely on third party and the perception that 3rd party games perform better on Xbox, bites on this information and creates the durango with the duel intention of making a console that is marginally more powerful than PS4, yet still affordable enough to pack in Kinect 2.0 without taking a huge loss.Â
However Sony, knowing that the PS4 will be using off the shelf AMD components that won't require years of R&D to produce, knowing that that their first parties would keep the PS3 viable as 360's relavane wanes (making the pressure greater for Microsoft to Usher forth its successor), and PS4's won't be bloated by an peripheral like Kinect then specs the actual PS4 with nearly double the performance of the Durango.
Because they're both using off the shelf components Sony knows that whatever multiplat games third parties are working on for durango, that porting them to be on par if not superior on PS4, can be done with relative ease (unless MS pays devs to actively gimp PS4 versions).
With better multiplats, vastly superior exclusives and no bogus Xbox live fees, if it manages to release at a similar price the PS4 is basically set to stomp the nexbox out.Â
As for some sort of Xbox brand loyalty holding the 720 afloat, history has shown that between console generations, as far as brand loyalty goes, gamers don't have any. You can ask Sony and Nintendo about that. Â Â
 Â
I wouldnt like to say whether this is true or not, what i will say though is that i would pay good money for a real powerhouse console from sony if thats what they produced.

You are in the minority. They already tried this with the PS3 and had a price drop in it's first year of release.
[QUOTE="loosingENDS"]xbox 720 is rumored to have 8GB ram thoughtormentosYes that is true but is also DDR3,with eSRAM for help,not quite as good as GDDR5.
DDR and GDDR are two vastly different things. :?
Isn't comparing the Durango with the Orbis similar to comparing my GTX 560 Ti with an HD 7850? The GTX 560 Ti may fall behind. But, it's not going to be steamrolled by the 7850.

If you guys remember the same thing happened with the PS3 and Sony was pissed as hell when they discovered that the CPU on the Xbox was based on research of the Cell. The only difference was that the Cell had SPE's instead of general purpose cores. That's why the PS3 and Xbox were so similar on graphical outputs and Sony couldn't do anything even after launching a year later because of all the money they already invested on R&D. But this time around it seems they deceived everybody to prevent this from happening again.

They have different bandwidth,GDDR is based on DDR3 if i am not mistaken,but is faster and has bigger bandwidth.No is more or less 7770 vs 7850.. Orbis is a little better than the 7850 at least in theory peak,Durango GPU is basically spot on with the 7770 GHZ edition,it has 2 more CU but is also 100+mhz lower in clock speed than the 7770 ghz edition,reason why they both basically have 1.2TF peak.Isn't comparing the Durango with the Orbis similar to comparing my GTX 560 Ti with an HD 7850? Sony doesn't have the IP's to shift consoles, Third party don't support it then say good bye to PS4.

Yeah PS1, PS2 and PS3 had major problems gaining third party support... PC + PS4 will be the market leaders MS can put Xbox with Zune and Windows Phone in the no one cares category.[QUOTE="Newhopes"]

true. 3rd party's will follow like a sheep once the PS4 becomes the dominant console.
