I don't feel like watching it, but do they detail how the rental fee works? Like is it a flat netflix fee for all the streaming you want per month or is it per game/day/hour?

Just to point out yet more cow hypocrisy though. Weren't you guys complaining about the proposed Xbox DRM 'what if you lose connection'. Then you're given a Onlive like streaming service which has an absolute reliance on your connection and the quality of it and it's 'WOOOO YEAHHHHHH TEH OWNAGE'. Make up your minds.
We've known about the rentals for a while. Their choice of rental lengths is weird though; 1 day seems a bit pointless, 3 makes more sense to me (like a weekend rental). Still, it's the prices that will be the real news, if a 30 day rental is ~£5 then they'd be onto a winner.
I tried the PSNow beta and I didn't feel and lagging and the game connect very fast. Not sure the reason is because I have a 75 megs down fios but is not bad at all.

the one day is not useless and i will tell u why. sony is employing a dummy pricing strategy where they they encourage the purchase of 3-7 days by making the third option not so attractive. also this way they can market playstation now as 'rent games only for £2.99' or something therefore generating more interest purely from the pricing scheme

im not sure how successful this is going to be. how much are people really willing to pay to play old games. they could add another tier of psn subscription but i think thats not sonys market, they are going after the tablet users and eventually pc only gamers with this. games like crash/sly/jak are perfect for tablet users who want casual fun

not true. u cant play every game, some older games have driver issues with the newer hardware. but on the whole i agree, this is why i like buying my multiplats on pc, regardless if i upgrade in the future on not 99% chance i can play the game i bought 10 years ago
@ghostwarrior786: just have to give it time and see. Personally, I could see how this system would be advantageous if you had young. kids. I know my son will play a game, and want to move into something else fairly quickly. If in the future he wants to play a game again he did before, just rent it for a day.

i think this is a smart thing since all games right now on the ps4 are rentals at best this would have saved me 120 dollars that we spent on infamous and killzone
