PS4 obliterated Xbone during last week in UK. GTS had a huge sales.

I'm scratching my head a bit. If the Scorpio was ahead of the PS4 Pro, wouldn't we all be saying: "Of course the Scorpio sold more, it was a new system launch versus an upgrade that is already a year old."

That game looks incredible, no doubt about it. But ACO on the X or a high-end PC still beats it IMO. That world is far more alive. But still, GG has done a incredible job here.

Did you play on a PS4 Pro and do you own Frozen Wilds?

Point being DF also analyzed ACO...and they STILL come away saying this is the most impressive graphical display they've seen for an open world game this year.

DF has seen all the best and analyze their technical feats individually plus there is no fanboy agenda behind their comments or opinions so when they make comments like they have done here you can be sure it's genuine.

Again, they are specifically talking about HZD Frozen Wilds on PS4 Pro. If you haven't played with these specifics then you can't make a proper judgement on the discussion.

We've seen a lot of large, open-ended games this year but it's clear that Guerrilla Games stands at the top of the industry with its efforts....the quality of these visuals and the solidity of the presentation is unparalleled. For us, Horizon Zero Dawn is an essential release - and The Frozen Wilds genuinely adds further to the experience.

Note DF recalling other large, open-ended games they've seen this year! They have tested and played it all including this Horizon DLC on the Pro!

I won't discredit your opinion, but DF has a little more credibility in the area of technical graphics than professional system wars posters.

The fact the XBone sucks doesn't change. You're right. However, you comparing territories like that doesn't change the fact that you probably don't even know what Playstation's second strongest territory is and therefore your comparison is moot.

That's the base console you're talking about bud, the base price of the xbox S at the same time was $189.

Get your facts straight or at least define what you're arguing about. if your argument was price Xbox still had the cheapest deal on the market for consoles NOT PS4.

The Pro was no where near $200 so in the end you had th e Pro being cheaper than the X and the S being cheaper than the base PS4. So what's your argument now?

The PS4 was NEVER not going to be cheaper than then X (either PS4 version) so if the X was going to stop or slow PS4 sales it was going to be because of the reasons people like you (insecure xbox fans hiding behind Nintendo ect) have told us..."4k blah blah just wait til the X is here PS4 is done, exclusive games don't matter".

So now with the excuses?

Why the damage control? Official reports haven't even come out for the month, xbox could win for all you know lol. I mean, the X is here! Everything has changed right?

Maybe the X sped up sales of the PS4. After all, people waited years to see what the big bad new XBox could do and may have held off on buying a console. Hooray narratives!

Xbox One X sold the worst of the three

Maybe a few years ago power was all important. Nowadays power means nothing since more powerful and cooler tech arrives around every few months or so...

It's all about pricing nowadays (other than Nintendo)

And considering how more indie games are gaining in popularity, power doesn't really matter. Heck probably why Microsoft have to buy up PUBG exclusivity and trying to extend it further.

@TorqueHappens08: Probably bc Gran Turismo was a HUGE franchise and a fan favorite. PD took until about the end of the PS4 life cycle to give us any game at all, and it's just a watered down, low car count, no career or car modifying, online bumper car simulator.

@speedytimsi: I dunno man. i have seen the power debate twisted in every conceivable direction. Personally, I believe that most people were already turned off by the drm debacle as well as Microsoft being shady about what they wanted to do with user information after one of their suits told a conference full of marketers that Live would be a gold mine or some shit. Mattrick telling people to sit and spin or go buy a 360 did not help matters.

In hindsight, the fact that Sony offered the more powerful system at a lower price was just a double scoop of "FU" to most sane and rational gamers. Power has only won a generation once before and that was one of those photo finishes anyways. (Super Nintendo beating the Genesis FYI). Nevermind watching the Switch take off like a rocket despite this supposed post-power console world.

By the time Xbox started to correct the ship by un-bundling Kinect, they were already losing exclusives. They have fought back decently, but at the very moment they seemed like they got back in fighting shape, they gave up the goose on having exclusive games. Their die-hard fanbase may accept this as the emporers new clothes for whatever reasons they want, but it's not selling Xbones. Power won't either.

@todddow: but isn't the December update supposed to address that, with the return of career mode, first round car releases(15 free) around 55 cars will be released before March alone for free, with 5 new tracks.

Also I don't understand "online bumper car" simulator, when there is full damage, ramming and corner cutting can get you disqualified from the race, F.I.A events also have full damage that can literally kill the car is , and sportsmanship rating and drivers rating. ...all I have seen so far is clean and very competitive racing. Where bad players just ghost before impact and slam themselves into the wall, I have not seen online racing this good since I played iracing.

Also there is car customization with tuning, livery with svg uploader etc... it's a pretty decent package, especially with the upcoming December update, sales are really about to climb higher than they already are.

now that i remember i said it would hurt the sales of the PRO. not the base ps4.

however that price cut did help sony have their biggest black friday. without it it would have done worse than last year. imo

the xbox S being 190$ wouldnt do much because the base ps4 was already winning beforehand. sony basically matching the price this holiday garunteed its win over the S.

so, the pro i think will take the biggest hit from the X imo. but base ps4 will continue to sell well but even more so at 199.
