PS4 Owners don't want Ori and The Willow Wisp

@sleepnsurf: Every type of game is for little kids or basement dwellers. That's at least half of the gaming population.

I'm for console exclusitivity, but times like these, I wish Ori was multiplat just to stop stupid threads like these being made.

I wouldn't hold your breath. Ori and the Blind Forest and Cuphead going to the Switch were flukes. I think someone at MS didn't like exclusives going to Nintendo, so they shut down further ports.

I wouldn't see why not. If the first game made it, it be foolish to not release the sequel on Switch and MS & Nintendo are on good terms...for now at least. Ori fits the bill well on Switch.

I agree but I also don't see it happening at the same time. I recall something vaguely indicating the move away from multiplatform games for Xbox Game Studios. Not releasing it on the Switch is not going move people over to the Xbox One. With that said, the performance is less than stella on the Xbox One X mainly due to the hard-drive.

Aside MS not being keen on the idea, I suspect Wisps wouldn't be able to run on Switch. From what I hear it's a lot more demanding on hardware, and even the X1X is having performance issues. Ori ran 60 on Switch and I wouldn't want this at 30.

If individual sales don't matter for a Game Pass game, why is there heavy advertisement for Ori 2 in department stores like Wal Mart? Just because Microsoft pays devs a percentage to put their games on Game Pass doesn't mean they don't try to maximize sales of their games.

Well I tried the first one through game pass, looks pretty, but gameplay was on par with your average indie, meh.

True. No one ever thought Ori and Cuphead would come to the Switch, so it's not entirely impossible MS will flipflop and bring Ori 2 to the Switch. But, trust me when I say this, the Switch will NOT do this game justice. It needs to be 4K.

Very few people buy systems for just one game. It's usually a handful that makes them lean towards one system or the other. MS might feel Ori 2 is one of those games in a handful for people deciding whether or not to buy an Xbox or a Switch.

But if i only owned the PS4, i guess i wouldn't want it then?
