PS4 Pro patches may cost money

This is interesting, really.

1- we're buying the original console for $400
2- we're paying $50-70 for PSN
3- another $400 for the Pro
4- we're not allowed to play in 60fps because X game is running in 30fps on the original ps4
5- our only options with the PS4Pro is 4k mode, 60fps/same graphical visuals as the ps4 mode and 30fps/higher fidelity visuals mode. there's no higher fidelity AND 60fps mode, the least i expect from a "Pro" upgrade, one that is coming out 3 damn years after the original PS4.
6- we may not get a Pro patch for every game coming out (when you upgrade your pc, do you worry about getting higher frames and be able to handle higher resolution? No... That's not the case with the Pro)
7- we have to pay for a f*cking patch... a patch!!!
8- Here's an idea, Sony. Please charge us $90 for every game that is running in 60fps cuz 60fps>30fps..................

Dude, the Sony rep is talking about the developer has a choice to charge a fee for those updates, not that there will be a fee. Do you really think they'll charge for those updates? I highly doubt it. Reading comprehension sir.
