Kind of expected them to be down, I think everyone getting X1 should expect the same. If MS pulls off a quiet launch they will be the only company to do it. I'm just not sure if that magic sauce even exists.
I doubt it, considering they dumped 700 million into a data center to host XBL and Azure I think they're expecting a large number of XB1 users to log into live the second they get their consoles. Sony simply sucks at networking.

Sony's iT department is run by chimpanzees. Do you honestly think they know what they are doing?
Wow. No games, bad and slow ui, terrible voice commands, crappy service as usual, and tons of systems doa? Sony is awesome!
I'm sure the Cows would be in here to rebut this claim, but either they can't log into PSN to use the browser or their systems are broken down by now....
@resevl4rlz: That's exactly what i expected. Thats why MS is doing massive amounts of (virtualized) dedicated servers for online next gen.
I got on last night after a couple attempts.
Launch days are always hit and miss. Good to hear though. My fingers are crossed for next week :)
I think its a good thing actually, even if it happens to MS. I do feel MS is probably better suited to handle an influx of users like that though.
