PS4+ PSVita bundle confirmed coming next month

This happened quicker than i thought and its pretty amazing!

Sony is releasing The Ultimate Bundle which includes a PS4 and a Vita in the same package but no word on the price yet ( could it be $500? ).

This deal sounds too good to be true, i doubt Sony can afford to subsidize the Vita that much but who knows

for me throwing in the handheld i will never ever ever ever use does not make it more appealing. In fact it makes it less appealing. I feel the same way about handhelds as people do about kinect. Except I'd get infinitely more use out of the kinect than I would ever get out of any handheld. Put it this way if all sony was offering was this bundle for $500 i'd get an xbone instead. If I'm going to pay extra money let it be for something I will actually use.

nooo sony dont do it, this is madness. they should not do any bundles till feburary when the initial storm has passed. right now they should focus on producing as many stand alone consoles as they can

If it's $500, I might have to pick it up.

Right now it seems like the bundle is focused on the EU market ( by the looks of the box ) and US probably get it by next year im guessing.

If they release this bundle in the Us it would be nice imo since the PS4 is already sold out everywhere in NA and this bundle will not only help them sell even more PS4's but also more Vita's

If they did it for $500, then it'd be more like takings another $50 loss on each system.

Given people who'd buy this would be pretty avid gamers, I'd imagine they think they could make that money back on game purchases relatively easy.

I'll buy it in an heart beat..................................... BUT its probably going to be the VITA with the LCD screen.

The LCD screen is fine, but the OLED screen is beast.

Well, they haven't announced that Vita model for the west yet. But you're probably right, Sony still has to make money on this so they'll include the cheaper model.

I really hope this gives a boost to Vita sales, because then it would get more games.

I want a GOW game on the VITA...

But I dont think even if the sales pick up, that 3rd parties wont be all that excited to develop for it.

Anyway, I think the PSV could really do with a GTA game, but it seems to me Rockstar is only interested in making portable GTAs on smartphones and tablets :(

Buying both the PS4 and Vita separately will cost $600 so i can see them pricing this at $550 to make people interested in the bundle than buying both platforms separately.

whats interesting is that this Ultimate Bundle includes a 8GB memory card for the Vita so i wonder if that would force the bundle to cost $600 or not but personally i see them pricing it between $500 and $550 though i wouldn't be surprised if they go the safe route and price it at $600.

Over $500 will be too much. I doubt many would bite. $500 will be the sweet spot. They can make up losses from high priced memory cards and sell more software.

Are people really going to bite on this bundle with the shitty Vita version included? By that I mean the LED screen instead of OLED.

For that version it had better only be $500, Sony.
