This is part of Sony's PR diasaster bullshi7t to make the console so expensive in certain markets that the demand will be low. This way they can say that they still launched in 32 counties (or whatever the number is) and keep face.

You know it is bullsh7t, I know it is bullsh7t.

MS can do no wrong at this point. Even if they are charging double but hey, Brazilians will be getting the most sophisticated console at only double the price. Sounds like a deal too good to pass up.

Actually is part of Brazil incredibly high taxes on electronics that come from outside, the xbox one is been made on Brazil as well reason why is cheaper.

Maybe drug dealers will be able to afford it.

Brazil is not known for drug dealing, that's Colombia.

https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/geos/br.html

second-largest consumer of cocaine in the world; illicit producer of cannabis; trace amounts of coca cultivation in the Amazon region, used for domestic consumption; government has a large-scale eradication program to control cannabis; important transshipment country for Bolivian, Colombian, and Peruvian cocaine headed for Europe; also used by traffickers as a way station for narcotics air transshipments between Peru and Colombia; upsurge in drug-related violence and weapons smuggling; important market for Colombian, Bolivian, and Peruvian cocaine; illicit narcotics proceeds are often laundered through the financial system; significant illicit financial activity in the Tri-Border Area (2008)

CIA sucks.
