PS4 Vs Xbox - Who has the better major releases for 2015?

So far, I think PS4 has the superior upcoming titles (this is all from the top of my head so feel free to add more exclusives for each console)

Uncharted 4: The best Playstation exclusive series of last gen, with The guys behind Uncharted 2 and Last of us on-board - this game will be amazing.

Bloodbourne: The Souls series were my favorite series of last gen, so I'm extremely hyped for this game. I honestly am more interested n this game than all of the upcoming Xbox one agmes combined.

Ratchet and Clank: I love this series and am glad they're going back to the good ol' traditional ratchet and Clank gamepaly, scrapping that co-op and tower defense rubbish in the process. Also, the graphics will be gorgeous, almost like a Pixar film.

The Order 1886: Not sure how to feel about this one, since its getting a lot of mixed reactions. I like the visuals, the story behind it, but I'm not too sure if the gameplay will hold up, so I will remain skeptic. It could go either way really.

Xbox One

Halo 5: Honestly, without Bungie on board I just don't feel excited for Halo anymore. Halo 4 was a drop in quality from the original trilogy so this dosent interest me personally but I'm sure it will still be good, but not as good as Uncharted 4. I would feel he same way if Uncharted 4 was being made by another studio other than Naughty Dog.

Fable Legends: Most people agree that this game has been on a downward spiral since the third installment. This game looks more like a spin off rather than an actual Fable game. I'm honestly quite dissapointed, since I wish they woudl try rebooting the first game or something.

Quantam Break: Like Order 1886, this could go either way. I definitely prefer the premise of The Order but this could be the better game.

So yeah, overall the PS4's major lineup is a lot more interesting than what the Xbox has to offer. What do you guys think?

Neither really, unless Tomb Raider comes out for Xbox One or Persona 5 for PS4. The way Nintendo releases have been going I wouldn't be surprised if the Wii U got the better game with Zelda U. Though, the best game for either the Xbox or Playstation will likely be a multiplat both systems have, maybe Mad Max or something else.

I myself don't really see Halo making any big impact, not with the Master Chief Collection, nor with a Halo Guardian game made by 343, at least as far as selling the console goes.

Quantum Break really doesn't look like what Remedy promised at the 2013 VGX promising to reinvent shooters. The key gameplay mechanic looks as meh-worthy as playing the forgettable Timeshift as a third person shooter. This bugs me too. I really wish they'd of gotten cracking on a proper Alan Wake sequel, instead we get this, it's gonna bomb, and Remedy will probably go out of business and we'll for sure never get an Alan Wake sequel.

Yeah Ratchet and Clank got announced at E3. I'm guessing gameplay will be shown in 2 days time (anniversary of R and C) or in December at the Playstation event.

IMO, Xbox doesn't have an exclusive that beats Uncharted 4 or Bloodbourne. The MC collection however is tempting

The PS4. It has around twice as many exclusives in 2015 compared to the Xbone, and they are spread out throughout the whole year instead of having them all around the holidays. The Xbone will have a great holiday lineup, but it's 2015 just looks bad in comparison to the PS4.

Both have much better lineups next year than they did this year.

Anyone else find it rather odd that all the PS4 exclusives have glowing writeups in TC's post yet all the X1 exclusives are cast aside?

Aside from Bloodborne, PS4 doesn't have much that looks good.

On Xboner I'm assuming Halo 5 will be good, Quantum Break will probably be okay, and if Scalebound comes out next year then I assume it'll be awesome.

@clyde46: I'm giving my opinion... I clearly state that Uncharted was my favourite Playstation franchise last gen, with the 'Souls' series being my overall favourite. I'm not going to pretend to be equally excited for another Fable spin off and Halo game not made by Bungie, just for the sake of pleasing others. :P

It is looking to be another year where the X1 has a better year then the PS4. Add in games like Crackdown, Scalebound, and Phantom Dust along with the others mentioned and it is going to be a very good year for X1.

I dont dislike the PS4.

Hoping there won't be any major delays, I am happy with PS4's 2015 lineup.. It surely makes up for 2014..

First, you left out some game for X1

Second, There are many unannounced games for both next year which will be announced in the coming months and at E3

We do this EVERY year and EVERY year games get delayed out of that year.

Im actually glad Bungie isn't on Halo 5, after destiny, I dont miss Bungie. Personally I liked halo 4 more than 3 reach and Odst. But halo 1 and 2 were great. 343 did a great job on 4 and halo 1 anniversary.

I'll go with Xbox One because of Quantum Break (and slight interest in Halo 5 because of being sci fi) . I've no interest in Bloodborne or Order . Uncharted 4 is going to be great though but I like remedy more.

@Frinkar: Sony still has Sony Bend, Studio Japan, Guerilla, thagamecompany, Santa Monica and other minor studios to announce their projects. Xbox One is also getting Forza 6.

Sony has a shit ton of big projects in the works for next year, that said MS has their biggest games in the works as well. There shouldn't be too much objection to the idea that 2015 will be the first year we see true next gen games from these consoles.

Opinions aside however, you cut XBone short. It also has Gears in the works and everyone knows it has been worked on. It doesn't have a release date but then again neither does Halo, or QB. We can't say for certain that Gears won't release in 2015 as MS may get desperate and actually release a few big games during the year and not just try to jam everything in the holiday season like you usually have.

Both have an impressive looking roster of names for games that could release in 2015. Any person could argue for either line up being more worthwhile depending on their tastes. Any Halo fans is going to say xbone and any Souls fan is going to say PS4.

Me personally, I'll take PS4 because it has more new IPs, we have simply seem more of what those games will actually offer and it looks good and lastly the fact that we actually know when some of those games are coming out PS4 and starts at the beginning of the year.

@Frinkar: Don't know. Not all the games for the 2015 year have been announced yet. Right now, it's about even I'd say. XBox One is expected to have at least 28 exclusives and new Ip's, so we'll see.

Xbox for sure plus we wait for E3, and Spencer will release big things, and Halo 5 people always love HAlo and buy HAlo, PeeS4 has nothing except Bloodisboring and Undetermined 4 it won't even release I bet. We get Halo 5 and probably new Gears!

PS4 fanboys already forgot this year. The Xbox One is releasing better games this year and you're already looking to next year. Your comment about Bungie not being around is pretty pointless. 343 proved they can make a good Halo with Halo 4 and Bungie proved they can make a meh game without Microsoft. No matter what you say Halo 5 will sell more copies than any PS game no matter the install base. I'll beat you to "Sales don't make a good game" BS by saying sales indicate a shit load of people liked a good game.

I can only imagine a Sony fanboy sitting around a boardroom of a massive company talking about a competitors huge release. It would be like this:

Exec: "Halo 5 sold 4 million copies already, get us a developer that can sell an IP like that!"

Fanboy Todd: "Sales don't mean its a good game."

Exec: "GTFO Todd."

Sony should feel a little worried. Microsoft is behind and they know it. They are fighting hard to catch up even if it means losing a little money in the short term. Sony could never afford that kind of fight. If they get complacent, Microsoft will under cut them at every turn and ruin that lead. Meanwhile, us Xbox fans are reaping the benefits while you guys are doing what all Sony fan does best instead of buying games: Making lists.
