The days when PS/Xbox exclusives raised eyebrows has long gone. This is the era of multiplatform games, and I believe both Xbox Series X and PS5 do a great job with most cross platform games.

I am loving the double standard. In Jan, 2022, all these cows were talking about the imminent death of Xbox because there were no real 1st party games for 2022. That story was told over and over again well into 2023.
Now that the shoe is on the other foot, the story changes - 1st party doesn't matter now.
And these cows wonder why "Sony Pony" is such an insult on the internet...

I find the conversation around 1st party vs 2nd party quite interesting because the difference means so little in practice. lol
You can get into the weeds of who owns the IP etc. but, what really matters is the association of "a game from PlayStation". You'll boot up a game like Rise of the Ronin and, one of the first things you'll see is "PlayStation Studios". I'm not sure about you but, a game that boots up with "PlayStation Studios" sends a pretty clear sign that it's a game from PlayStation. The best test of all is showing the intro to someone who has no idea what studios are "1st party". That person will say it's a game from PlayStation 99.9% of the time. It's such a super common practice in film and television to the point where practically nobody cares who's actually producing the content but rather who's distributing it.
This is again a conversation that does little to nothing in terms of trying to understand PlayStation's content catalog.
The Playstation doesn't need first party games to kick the Xboxes arse they just kick it.
The fact they have got some console exclusives including the Most Anticipated Game of The Year just adds to it.
