@hardwenzen: There's really not much that can beat that thread 😄
You're right that the PS4 had a terrible launch lineup.
You're wrong about the PS5 though. It didn't have a good launch lineup, it's currently in a drought, and there isn't much in the near future that will help it.
Its actually been pretty good. Sony exclusives lineup may be hit or miss for some but I have no arguement the library is much better than many. We got BC with PS4 titles of course(Xbox and theirs), exclusives coming and already AAA like resident evil. Very good.
Compared to poor PS3/PS4 launch or Switch launch where you literally had nothing after BoTW, PS5 launch is really nice.

What drought? Resident Evil 8 last week, Mass Effect this week, biomutant next week and few weeks after that is Guilty Gear strive and Rachet and Clank. Weird phrase to use when games kept coming.

You list multiplatform games. that all released months later in the context of launch lineup.

Its not wrong either planet clearly said currently having drought. How can it be in drought when it got games coming left and right.

Maybe in the context of next gen only titles. Everything except for Ratchet and Clank are crossgen.
Most of them is new games its not like we buying ports like Switch releases, 1-2 switch being the only thing new or boatloads of remasters for PS4/xbox.

Yeah, I was specifically referring to actual PS5 games, rather than ports, remasters and multiplats. The PS5 doesn't really have a killer app at the moment.
And your Switch comment is incorrect. Switch users have already had Monster Hunter Rise, Bravely Default 2, New Pokemon Snap. Later this year, they'll also get No More Heroes 3, Monster Hunter Stories 2, Disgaea 6, Shin Megami Tensei 5, and Mario Golf.
Those are new games, all console-exclusive as far as I'm aware. There are tons of ports/remasters/etc. as well, plus whatever surprise games Nintendo drops at E3, but the lineup of new games is looking pretty good.
But hey, maybe I just haven't looked closely enough at the PS5's lineup. What are the top 10 PS5 exclusives scheduled for 2021?

I was comparing Switch launch and PS5 launch but ok since somehow its Switch 5th year vs PS5 launch no way PS5 is better. Whatever floats for a win in your eyes but PS5 is in no way in a drought considering its steadily getting NEW AAA games recently and Guilty Gear Strive, Kena, R&C around the corner and Deathloop, Ghostwire Tokyo later. God of War still tba 2021 as it not received any delay news either.
PS5's are collecting dust after beating the Spider-Man DLC, a 2010 PS3 remake and Returnal. At least the Xbox has Game Pass to fiddle around with as they wait.
If we're counting Returnal and Ratchet and Clank ... the PS3 had Motorstorm, Resistance, and Ninja Gaiden Sigma in the same time frame. Which I might take over the PS5's offerings.
It's better then the PS4/XB1, but last gen got off to a pretty horrendous start.
I think it depends on what you consider the "launch window". If it's strict - at release is "launch" IMO - then the PS5 and XS have had terribad launches. But if we are going out almost a year through Returnal to R&C and ... HZD2 at some point? Then it looks very strong
At least previous launches had good new games at launch.
And what games are those?
IMO the PS3 had a way better launch year than PS4 or PS5. First year of the PS3's life saw Resistance Fall of Man, Motorstorm, Ridge Racer, Ratchet and Clank Tools of Destruction, Warhawk, Lair, Uncharted Drake's Fortune, Heavenly Sword.
Cows are delusional. Can't even admit when they're having a crap year.
How is two games a good year? Returnal and Ratchet. That is it. The rest came out on last gen consoles.
The 5th and 6th gens had great launch line ups and 7th gen had a quite good launch line ups.
Just compare that to past launch line ups:

First cows actually celebrate paying $70 per game and then celebrate this launch year library. It's just sad.
Lol….6 months after launch is not a “launch window”.
Idk, imo I consider the launch window the first year. It's usually the dry spell full of filler games and ports and cross gen shit.
While I'd say enjoy those PS5 games, I wouldn't boast about it like it's an amazing launch window of games.
Realistically, the PS5 and Xbox Series shouldn't have been released until this coming November when software was actually ready.
They did the same last gen, rushed out the consoles way before anything was ready. Even the system software of the Xbox One was bare bones.
That's why I say the Series S is the only justifiable console right now imo, given the cost of it and the lack of games out.
So we're counting games yet to come out as part of the launch lineup? Are we in bizzaro world? Neither console had a stellar launch lineup period.
Are you cows feeling ok? Something causing this buyers remorse 6 months after launch?
Just celebrating SONY's greatness as we all should.
I love Sony but no, the launch line up is one of the worst in history, with Demon Souls Remake being the only game of interest.

Ghost from the past. As much as I disagree with just about everything you say it's nice to see someone from the old SWs days.

Awwww :P
It's fine, but there's nothing yet that makes me want to go spend the money on one. I'm sticking with XGP and games on PS4 until probably late next year, then I'll decide Series X or PS5. It would be nice to see the next "version" of those consoles to also make it more worth the upgrade, or a price reduction.
