PSA: Fifa 18 is trash

All they did for the gameplay was make it slower. Yeah that's the gimmick for this year, slower gameplay, slow animations, less responsiveness. I guess maybe EA thought it was going to make people think it's less arcadey? Well that's not how it works especially since the game does most of the work for you.

This is the first fifa since fifa 10 I've not bought, the game barely changes year after year.

Cheers. Wasn't going to buy it anyway, and it's not just because the gameplay videos I've seen looked stale and poorly balanced. I just... ...can't bring myself to buy anything with Real Madrid and Cristiano Ronaldo on the cover. I just can't.

They should add #TakeAKnee DLC.

Arsenal fan too here. By any chance, are you like a new fan or something? Arsenal have no beef with Real Madrid... because we hardly play them. In fact we have an amazing relationship with them: the best being the part where they took Gareth Bale from the scum and they gave us Mesut Ozil. They keep taking Tottenham's best players and will probably take Dele Alli and Harry Kane. Real Madrid is a true bro in that way.

Anyway, Ronaldo, an arrogant narcissist? Actually, no. Not at all.

He's arrogant as hell as a footballer, and has every reason to be. But off the pitch he is super, incredibly humble. I wouldn't even call him a nice guy, because "nice guys" are superficially chill, but could probably be massive dickheads behind closed doors (like when Thibaut Courtois cheated with Kevin de Bruyne's girlfriend. You wouldn't think a million years that that nice enough looking dork would do such a thing... and that's coz Kev cheated on that girl with someone else). Ronaldo, from what I've seen in his (really boring) documentary and many off-the-pitch interviews and videos, seems like a genuinely good guy.

Quite the opposite. I was a fan during the later Ian Wright era, before all of what you said happened. I guess old habits die hard. Besides, I've always thought of transfers as cold business transactions, and harboured zero emotion for them either way. I've always understood that sometimes players want to move to greener pastures, so to speak. Real didn't "took" or "gave" anyone, and Barca didn't "steal" anyone.

@FrozenLiquid: I somewhat dislike Real Madrid, we gave them Beckham, Ronaldo, Heinze, Van Nistelrooy and Chicharito, and United haven't snatched a player from Real Madrid directly since Laurie Cunningham in 1983. Real Madrid are certainly the bastards to Manchester United. That is bang out of order I tell ya! I guess you can say the same to both Manchester clubs too..
