what do you get for XBL? you get what PSN was giving for free

only thing I like about Live that I cared for that isn't on PSN (the free one, not sure about PSN+) was party chat and cross game chat.

Xbox live is still better. Cross-Chat & way more acessible. Yes you get free games on the PSN+ but you have to subscribe again next year to keep the games.MrFamBoyLOL

There is so much fail in that statement i dont even know were to begin. Yeah me talking to my GAMING freinds while I am playing Halo while they are playing Geras of war 2 makes us socialites and thats a bad thing?? So basically apps like teamspeak and ventrillo which are like XBL cross game chat (and have been out for longer) that are meant for gamers to converse/have a private voice chat room with freinds while playing different games or same game is bad. I feel sorry that you don't have freind to talk to online, o wait no i don't.

Yeah that is why I played my xbox and my games from 2005 to 2007 without getting live until Halo 3 came out, yeah the console was useless, while I was enjoying Bioshock, Playing coop at a freinds house in Gears of war and lanning Halo 2 at LAN parties. You are so right sir a completely worthless console, so by your logic PS2 and gamecube were worthless right.

Just bought a 12 month subscribition from Dell for $29.99 with free shipping. The cows claim it costs $50 a year when anyone with half a brain knows this isn't true. It can cost UP TO $50 but people who are smart spend much less.

As far as this joke thing Sony has come up with it is just that, a big joke. Until PSN+ has the same features as Xbox Live currently has it will always be inferior. While cows focusing on the rental aspect and call it "free" I am more considered with things that actually matter and as of now PSN+ isn't even in the same league as Xbox Live. Until then, the MCD will have to beat their chests and start fifty threads a day to make themselves feel better but at the end of the day, you are renting games and giving Sony money to recoup the costs of the leech known as the PS3.

Or the two minis EU PS+ subscribers got this month, Age of Zombies (so bad it should be criminal) and Fieldrunners (meh).

The two good things i've gotten out of PS+ so far are LBP and Wipeout HD, and a KZ2 pack, then two free dynamic themes and Destruction Derby for the PSP/PS3.

I havnt touched the two EU game trials yet as they really dont interest me.

So its been a pretty good month for PS+ besides the 2 meh minis. Next month isnt looking great though ... :(

If you show Sony that you're willing to pay for online, then eventually, they'll make you pay for it. I read that MS cut $1.2 billion from LIVE in 2009. Don't think Sony doesn't want a piece of that pie.

I felt LIVE was really worth it up 'til last year, but now that PSN has really caught up in quality, I just wish I didn't have to pay for something Sony and Nintendo offer for free.

Oh well, I bought a $20 LIVE card at Walmart(the one that's not in a package), redeemed it, and bam 12-months. So I'm set through the year for $20, and I got good deals on the previous cards I bought, so I only paid $100 for 3yrs of LIVE. No regrets.
