[QUOTE="blackgamer1213"] What does the discount matter when you have to pay JUST to play online? XBL is mandatory PSN+ is optional. Yea I know you don't have to get a gold account, but c'mon 360 is worthless w/o live. blackgamer1213

Maybe in your eyes. Your saying that every console that doesn't have online is worthless?

Oh no I said the 360 is worthless w/o xbox live it's like a sandwich with nothing in between the bread. 360 is designed around xbox live therefore if you don't pay for it you have a limited experience on XBOX 360.

so you think everybody has high speed internet? its like 35$ a month

but it seems alot of people on hereassume that

[QUOTE="-RocBoys9489-"]Xbox LIVE is $40 at Amazon w/ free shipping. Just sayin' ;)ianuilliam

Just bought a 12 month subscribition from Dell for $29.99 with free shipping. The cows claim it costs $50 a year when anyone with half a brain knows this isn't true. It can cost UP TO $50 but people who are smart spend much less.

As far as this joke thing Sony has come up with it is just that, a big joke. Until PSN+ has the same features as Xbox Live currently has it will always be inferior. While cows focusing on the rental aspect and call it "free" I am more considered with things that actually matter and as of now PSN+ isn't even in the same league as Xbox Live. Until then, the MCD will have to beat their chests and start fifty threads a day to make themselves feel better but at the end of the day, you are renting games and giving Sony money to recoup the costs of the leech known as the PS3.

Getting something on sale doesn't change it's MSRP.

Also, PS+ doesn't have the same features as Live Gold, because PSN already has those for free, except for the oh-so-godly cross-game chat.

You make no sense psn+ is the regular psn with more features and there is a lot more that live has.

I have yet to see anyone list all these features that Live gold supposedly has over psn, other than party/cross-game chat. All I ever see is a bunch of "it's just better" and "if you haven't used both, you wouldn't understand" and "it's just got a richer community", none of which are objectively quantifiable/qualifiable.

It is true you won't understand until you try it.If I tell you the stuff you get to do on live you would say my computer can do that or be very doubtful. So yeah buy a 360 explore live for like an hour and you will know.

@93soccerI'm not saying PSN is without trolls and douchebags what I am saying is that for the most part PSN gamers are more mature and there are less kids on PSN.

93soccer

Nooo. There are probably the same/more kids on PSN, you just cant tell because every console doesn't include a mic

More kids? I don't think so, average PSN user is 28.

That's what we call 'not an answer', so I'm gonna stand by my statement that PSN free already offers everything Live Gold does, other than party/cross-game chat. And I'm certainly not going to buy a console and pay $49.99 a year just for that.

You get more with free PSN than you do with XBL. EmperorSupreme

Not to mention map packs, exclussive beta, free games, dynamic themes, premium themes, free add-ons...you basically get those $50 you just spent from all of these free stuff their giving you. And they will add ridiculous ammount of stuff every month.

[QUOTE="Kokuro_Kun"][QUOTE="lawlessx"]XBL gives out discounts every week :?yoshi_64
oh please, their usually crap games or their so old and not selling anymore that its the only way to make them sell. PSN gives you much more vaule. Sadly we still dont have dedicated servers :/

The Playstation Plus service isn't giving you games that are old and have been out for a long time? inFamous? Wipeout HD? DLC and packs for games most people don't have or have bought already? :/

There's about 30 million PSN users that haven't played inFAMOUS nor Wipeout HD. I'm certainly am 1 of them. There are a lot of people that still havent played these games.

STOP SAYING FREE GAMES. If the games are free, then what exactly are you paying for?

I guess so, since the games are free :?. It's just very annoying that people can't realise that you're paying to play these "free" games.

an average is the division of the extremes. So there could be 5m underage users, and 5m users over 35, and they could come to the same average, although half would be underage. I have encountered the same immature people on both, it really depends on the game. Of course Halo will have youngsters, so will COD, but games like Gears are mostly mature gamers (in my experience) and Warhawk on PS is almost always younger gamers. It just really depends on the game man.
