Psn+ greatness !!!

I just got and started playing a game called Kingdom of Amalur: Reckoning. It is so far like Fable 3 but done right the options on the gameplay are just sick. I have not had a good rpg to play in a while and in comes this 14gig monster. If your still on live gold YOU ARE WRONG. Psn+ is getting so good I might not even buy any games soon besides the megatons.

well if they have XBL gold they probably have an xbox, so i'm not sure what good PS+ would do them

Hit game after hit game comes up on psn+ you can hate all you want but psn+ is great.

All I see in this thread is jealous lems bashing the game because its free on psn and they payed for it for xbox.  typical.

Never said it was free just the best value on console. You spend 50 and get to play so far well over 1k in games plus the online storage and game updates ,betas,themes,advatars ect.

then what do you call XBL???  you pay for online but dont get to play free games.... what about deus ex, it was free for ps+.  you play it, beat it, are done with it, if you cancel ps+ no big deal, its a single player game so once your done your done.

I call Xbox Live an online multi-player gaming service. Just for the record, Xbox Live actually does give out some free games (true free games that you can keep forever even if you cancel your subscription), but I don't really care about that and it is has never been the point of the service. I've been happily subscribed to Xbox Live for 8 years now for one reason and that is because it provides the best online multi-player experience and that is something that I find very valuable. That's great that you think it is no big deal if you cancel PlayStation Plus after beating a game since you are done with it. That does not work for me though since the feeling of owning the games that I enjoy (especially on physical media) and knowing that I am able to replay a game that I enjoy any time I want for the rest of my life is very important to me. Obviously some people don't care about that and can therefore find value in what PlayStation Plus offers and I think that is great for them. My only issue is when people say that PlayStation Plus gives them free games and then uses that as a reason to criticize Xbox Live because first of all, it is not true that PlayStation Plus gives free games and secondly they are different services that aim to provide a completely different type of value. Xbox Live provides value by delivering the highest quality online multi-player gaming service and PlayStation Plus provides value by delivering access to a large selection of game rentals.starwolf474

First of all live is NOT the best online gaming service. For the record that would be steam and that is free on pc . Second if all you have is an 360 then you have little choice but to pay for live because almost every thing is hidden behind a pay wall. For example you can use netflix on the ps3 even if you don't have psn+ but on the 360 you need live to use netflix. If you don't pay for gold on the 360 you have NOOOOO online gaming on that platform. On the ps3 I pay for psn+ because I want to because it has adds value to the ps3. On the 360 there is no online gaming without gold and that means most of the games become 10 hour single player games. That means all the video apps become just icons like hulu plus. So don't let M$ piss down your back and tell you that it is raining.

Lems have been conditioned to pay for everything.

Oh I just updated to 4.50 and now I can hide trophies and do game and video transfers over wi-fi sweetness. Everybody now has auto updates and faster downloads. Oh GTA liberty city is now on psn+ with ICO HD as well WOOT!!!!

I seem to have the reckoning house of valor and the legend of dead kel dlc with this down load already. No wonder I never played this game it is by EA and I don't play their games but this is free so I like it.

Hopefully North America gets a very good libary next month, but on a serious note, why dont they just standardize the offerings for PS+ rather than localize it by regions or perhaps they could standardize the offerings for the Region 1 and 2 and then localize Region 3 since the asians/japanese market may want something different

As for KoA, if it wasn't for PS+ I would never have played it. Turned out I loved it. Enjoyed every minute.

I got megatons on psn+ like uncharted 3 and battlefield 3,saints row 3 also games like galaga dx,jet grind radio,xcom ect there are so many great games I can't play them all and more are coming. Check out the list and tell me psn plus is not worth it !!

How so it is the greatest service on console. The ps3 with psn+ is the greatest value in the history of consoles. You look at nintendo and the online is a joke. You look at the 360 and you pay 60 bucks just to game online and use netflix. You look at the ps3 with psn plus and there is well over 1k in content for 50 bucks.

If you just had psn plus and bought no games you would still have plenty of content to play. You look at gold and they feel the pressure and started to throw a couple games out.

Kingdoms of Amalur is a terrible, shallow, generic game. Fable for all its flaws has 10 times more personality and life than that abomination. LA-Nighthawk
