Uhh id rather game for free on Dedicated servers.. were actually getting good demos now and have way better PSN titles then your XBLA junk.. yeah and its freeJust be honest PSN is a FLOP in itself so many bugs and no one hardly uses mics and your getting terrible service from developers supporting there games with severs and online.
Listen are you guys ready to fork over so chump change and come into the real world of online gaming like we have been doing for years now on Xbox Live.
I mean come on Sony's flagship only only game Warhawk and no one is using mics and stat tracking is all busted up.
I mean come on you guys are plying in the stone age with your games online.
The_Trash_Man07
I just love how much people take XBL feature for granted... to the point that they don't even know that they're there. It just shows how well-integrated those features are.
VoodooHak
or maybe they just don't use them.........
[QUOTE="Blanco98"][QUOTE="NavigatorsGhost"]CrazyyyDylan
Woah Woah Woah when did they come out with free cable I wanna get in on this.
Also everyone says Home is gonna rock its a copy of The Sims, Secondlife and other crap. Face it. It has no intergration.
Second Oh I get to download entire games, well I download $5 dollar games that are better than $40 dollar ones. Geometry Wars anyone.
Third it doesn't matter Halo 3 will be the biggest online game ever.
1. PSN has Super Stardust HD and that's just like Geometry wars. IGN says it's even better in many categories.2.Halo will be huge no doubt and ill be there day 1. But, you forget that PSN has Granturismo, Socoom and Wii has Kart and Smash to compete. It's not a given that Halo wll be better considering two of those franchises have outsold it in the past. And Socoom was the biggest online game last gen I believe in terms of popularity.[QUOTE="VoodooHak"]I just love how much people take XBL feature for granted... to the point that they don't even know that they're there. I mean for real even in the COD4 Beta everyone is using mics and it runs and plays great with buddy invites and the works just a normal day on Exbox Live.
And then you take $60 game online only and it's a BUSTED MESS like Warhawk on that BUSTED no direction once so ever PSN
HAHA... your complaining about warhawk and directions? its not hard to know the object is to kill people.. DUH
and you know what else is funny... how people say xbox live is not alot of money... "o 50 bucks thats it"... then they go on complaining on how a console thats ONLY 100 dollars more is WAYYYYYYYY too much money ... stop complainging... PSN is fine.. i know, i have both consoles and ive had great experiences on both.. i love being able to chat with a friend while im gaming on xbox live and i love have 6WAY video chats on psn.. one thing i do love about psn is i have NEVER recieved lag playing any online game... NEVER... i recieve lag on xbox live sometimes like with the cod4 beta, pgr, forza, etc... i still think xbl beats psn in some ways but psn beats xbl in others... and then the tc talks about "stone age"? ummm does any xbl game have 40 player online play WITHOUT lag? no
my experience with PSN over the last few months has been fine. it's not broken like you say, nor is it a mess. Mordred19
I pretty much agree with this statement except that I think XBL is more organized than PSN. Much easier to access your downloads, friends, and cross-game invites.
[QUOTE="Blanco98"][QUOTE="NavigatorsGhost"][QUOTE="osirisomeomi"]the reason people don't use mics is beause the PS3 doesn't come standard wih a mic. Play warhawh, lots of mics there since the game comes packaged with one. Wait for SOCOM, which also comes with a mic, and you're set. As for the core features, its downloadable game service is superior to lives (warhwawk alone beats eveything else), and its online service, while lacking integrated buddy lists and cross-game invites, is quite functional and in many cases superior in terms of lag. Plus, it's free. Can't say its perfect, but it's doing all right.CrazyyyDylan
Seriously, that is just retarded. Because the PSN has a full blown game to download (which can also be bought in stores) it has a superior service? Have you seen the marketplace on Live? It has a demo for pretty much every 360 game (the worthwhile ones anyway) and it has tons of demos for games that haven't come out yet. And you're forgetting that the demo's on Live actually come out before the game is released in stores, unlike a majority of the demos on the PSN. Live has a ton of more stuff to download and the fact that you can download Castlevania: Symphony of the Night on a microsoft console is hilarious. You can download tv shows and other media as well through Live. In the PSN store you can download movie trailers. YAY.
The fact that there aren't more classics on the PSN is laughable. SONY, unlike Microsoft, has a massive massive gaming library to choose from. They should be doing everything in their power to be putting the top 20 games from the original PS on the store to download for gamers who missed them. Cause you sure as hell aren't going to find the original Metal Gear Solid of FFVII in a store near you.
2 years=more demos than 1 year dude......Also full game > demos, also most PSN demos lately came oput b4 thr actual game you know. Also downloading TV shows thats nice but you still have to pay thats why i have Tivo, also its not like PSN wont feature that anytime soon dude. All XBL has a little more sextra features, which sony is going to deliver BUT better, plus we get PS1 classics ss well which it will expand as time goes so everything you said is just for now dude and its just dumb.Woah Woah Woah when did they come out with free cable I wanna get in on this.
Also everyone says Home is gonna rock its a copy of The Sims, Secondlife and other crap. Face it. It has no intergration.
Second Oh I get to download entire games, well I download $5 dollar games that are better than $40 dollar ones. Geometry Wars anyone.
Third it doesn't matter Halo 3 will be the biggest online game ever.
alright.
first off there is a reason why sony has released a larger 80gb harddrive for the ps3. this is because of the fact that full movies and tv shows will be available in the not so far futrure, and they want to ensure that there is enough space to do that.
second, why does home need "intergration"? just because it isnt on the xbox 360 doesnt meean you need to bash it. if it was on the 360 you wouldnt be going out of your way to bash it.
thirdly Warhawk > geometry wars. thats a fact. plus we have super stardust HD
and obviously you havnt heard of WoW
[QUOTE="The_Trash_Man07"][QUOTE="-Tretiak"]Think I'll go buy a coffee.
.. No, wait, I think I'll put that money against this month's Xbox Live payment. Why oh why do jealous fanboys make such a fuss about the Xbox Live payment? It's clearly the best console online service, and it's ridiculously cheap.
kuza_9999
It comes out to about just over 4 bones a month and about .13 cents a day.
Yet they say nahhh to the pay for online we will stick to a $600 sysem with a $60 game and a mess of a free online.
a mess, hmm. Pretty strong words I believe. Then again, atleast I don't need a 500 ft cable to connect my system to the internet.
Do you honestly know how long a 500 ft cable is? Let alone how much it would cost to get one and lets not forget that by the time it reaches the console the connection is in the rhelm of the Dial up?
Also chances are that most gamers have their consoles near their dsl modem/router and usually a 15-30 ft cable should suffice.
P.s. There is a wireless adapter available for the ps3 ;)
[QUOTE="cecx"][QUOTE="biggamerhk"]WOW . . there are so many things in your post that just translate into WRONG!!!! You clearly dont have a PS3, so you wouldnt even know whether or not PSN has bugs. And, FYI, it DOES NOT. Bugs??? You have to be kidding me. And, what do you mean no one uses the mics???? how would you even know?? well at least we dont have to play for our online service. and we actually get good quality game downloads from the PS store. And all XBLA has is a bunch of crap. and ALSO, you think Warhawk is the only game people use mics in??? you gotta be kiddin . . . .limpbizkit818XBLA just has crap? I doubt many of the old-school fanboys will like you anymore. You just dissed Sonic, Worms, and Bomberman! For shame!
im not 'dissing' old-school games . . . . im just trying to proove that PSN has some decent downloads . . . .

You have a PS3? The "real world" of xbox live you speak of charges people to play against each other on peer to peer networks. If I want to download movies, I have my PC. If I want to download music, I have my PC. If I want to download demos, I can use my PS3. It takes me 15 minutes for a demo to download. Thats 15 minutes of my life w/o a ps3 (omgz!). I will just find something else to do in that time (such as play a ps3 single player game, do homework, go gas up my car, go drink, etc etc).
When it comes to the main purpose of PSN which is playing games against other people, the system is flawless. I hardly ever see lag online in games (exception being RS:V) and the only thing that needs a bit of tweaking is the mics and thats just in some cases. Warhawk is 40 bucks, the devs personally came out onto playstation forums and tell us they're fixing it (a lot of games have patches, nothing new) and warhawk isnt the only "flagship" game. Resistance and VF are solid games.
I cant wait until UT3 comes out and $hits on your parade. Because when UT3 comes out, you'll be paying 5 a month to play on someone elses internet connection with controllers and only 360 players. Meanwhile I'll be playing w/ kb&M on the ps3 against PC players for free....free.....free....free.....oh and btw, Limelights or something is working with sony on making PSN store usage faster. probably should have mentioned that first
Xbox Live is definitely better.... but $50 better? That is very doubtful.
-Spock-
Sacrifice one crappy game....and there's your subscription fee. It's not that hard. For pos3, you buy some games for online experiences that are half-baked.
Your choice, nobody's pressuring you.

The only thing half-baked is MS way of screwing millions of people out of 50 bucks ayear. You realize MS isnt letting you use any of their servers to play games on right? Please tell me you realize that.
besides, who wants to use a mic and be forced to talk to all teh kiddies tools like the tc anywaywarmaster670
I would, I enjoyed talking in PS2's Socom 3, could always mute them.. (Oh can you not do that?)

It adds up though. paying for Live during the entire 360 life span is AT LEAST $250.00 compared to $0 on PC/PS3/Wii. With that much money I can buy a wii or more games or a new iPod etc...bu...bu..but teh free online
360 teh more expensive with teh working online

lol true

$50 a year better? YES!
That is less than 14 cents a day. It is obviously that much better.
it's even less than .000012 cents every nano-second!
I find it funny how people equate it into these kind of terms. It's one less videogame a year....look at it that way.
I don't like paying for it, but there's really no choice if you wanna "play ball". Gotta bite the bullet on something (right?)
We don't have to look at it YOUR way.
XBL is 14 cents a day, this is fact.
For the ease-of-use it offers and breadth of available content, it's more than worth it.
lol, ok, 14 cents a day.....if it makes you feel better that way. It all adds up to $50 (basically a game) anyways.

hahah yea right psn dose everything live dose, with standerd features, like voice chat, online messageing, and most importantly we can PLAY ONLINE GAMES FOR FREE...nothing is a mess, everything is set up well, and will even be more well once home hits in oct
Might I add that there are a ton of free online sims like the PSN Home feature.
Yet we all know how those turn out...
Unpopulated.
Why do people argue that "I could spend that 50 on another game or so", but what if you buy MMORPG, you could easily please that monthly fee into more gaming. Whether monthly game subscription or something to do with online gaming in general, you are putting you money to something useful for gaming (if you want that).
Playing on PSN feels empty to me. So does playing games online on the PC, to be honest.
XBL has a nice connected feel. There's people using mics in every match, it's easy to join games and see what everybody else is doing.
If I had a PS3 I'd much rather pay for a nice online service for 50 bucks than buy a game that wouldn't last more than a month for $60.

The amount of full, downloadable games on the PSN also pales in comparision to the amount on the 360.
