Thats bs. I have 12mb cable modem (which owns there 3000kbs internet) and i can't even download 500 mb on xbl in 5 minutes. Matt's a retard ign should fire him immediately.
The longest it ever took me to download a demo on PSN was 25 minutes. That was Sigma, and it was from the Japanese servers... Also, it was as soon as the demo came out, so many others were downloading as well. either hes just !@#$%^& biased, or hes a moron. Im gona go with both.

Well he's partly right PSN is rather slow. But not slow enough where someone could download 8 gigs on XBL in the same time as 1 gig on PSN. Matt is a moron.
I thought the Marketplace had a 500mb file size limit? Did I miss something, or am I just misinformed? :|Not-A-Stalker
Your miss informed. Marketplace has no restrictions on demos or dlc. Arcade used to have a 50mb file size limit though. But it has been made higher now though.
The connection, firewalls, ect. can have a gigantic influence on PSN speeds. But yeah PSN, a completely free service, is slower than XBL for downloading stuff... oh those Sony bastards are in big trouble now! And lag free dedicated servers with high player limits?!!? Wtf we don't care about things that enhance gameplay.
Xbox live is "Free" to the point where you can download demos, XBLA trial games and other content. you only have to pay to play on live, oh and buy content I've found myself explaining Xbox live to some people i know, and they seem to think you gotta pay to get on live, but, you only pay to play on live, they still don't seem convinced "Yeah, but PS3 is free to play online and is way better than live, Xbox sucks online cos you gotta pay" Since i don't have a PS3 yet, i can't judge PSN to Xbox Live
we all know that.. well, except for ps3 owners that never had the pleasure of downloading through marketplace. But even on marketplace some demos are slow.

you know AC6 was only 300mb and because of bluray most ps3 demos are probably like 6gb

AC6 demo was AWESOME,I'm such an ACE fan....It makes me sad that it's not on PS3!:(
