That's a pretty good deal.

But still, of course the 3DS is going to be more expensive; it's brand new.

The 3DS does come with a lot of fun software:

Good thing its impossible not to have game with the 3DS even if u only buy the console itself. Thing comes with 7 games preinstalled.

You're aware they give away LBP now? And you're probably looking at a refurb unit (You're also missing that the 3DS comes with multiple games)

the PSP, with one game (Invizimals and something else) and a 1GB-2GB Memory Stick Duo is $200

3DS, a more powerful next generation game system comes with AR Games, 2GB SD card for $250

Thats like saying "the Xbox is 150 what a rip off that they're launching the xbox 360 with no game for $300-$400"

Its a new console, new generation, of course its more expensive

Also, the 3DS can multi-task, you can browse the web and take notes mid-game, plus having a 3d screen, and motion controls, a few built in games, a 2GB card, a touch screen so comparing it to a $200 PSP package doesn't seem so bad

Not fair comparing an 'old' handheld's price tag to a new handheld which has yet to be released in a couple of months.. Its quite obvious that 3DS will cost more having better hardware, 3D etc etc.. its not like i'm expecting to see PSP2 being launched at $149, most probably it wont cost less than $249 either..

However i do believe that $249 for a handheld (am talking in general) is a bit too much..

You must be blind to think those games look miles apart from each other. To be honest the 3DS MGS looks like a tweaked version of the PSP version but not a huge overhaul. C'mon lets be real

Can someone please PINPOINT EXACTLY in the screen shot where PSP peacewalker looks worse than the 3DS metal gear game?

No the technology on the 3ds is not the same as the psp. Find a game on the psp that looks better than this.

Note that this screenshot is blown up and has no 3d effects which will greatly enhance the visuals once played on the 3ds. and even then it still looks good.
