Sony and Nintendo fans seem to be in headlock this days, Sony fanboys, with the support of 360 fanboys, are on the offensive against Wii fans. Wii fans are assualting the PSP's failure to even touch the Ds Lite in the AAA games and sales. I see the reality, and am not biased. I like both consoles, so my opinion does not reek of..........fanboyism.
The PSP, when compared to the Ds Lite, is a failure. Heck, anything compared to the Ds Lite is a failure. But, compared to anything else, the PSP is a great success. While handheld and home consoles are different, sale numbers are still comparable. The PSP outsells the 360, and everything else, aside from the DS Lite. Is that a failure? 20 million units? In two years only? Dide you know that the GC only solde 21 million units in its 6 year lifetime? So is the PSP a failure? I think not.
What about the Wii? Seven months after its launch, incredable sales, and so on, and its considered a fad. Many say the PS3 is died. After 7 months only? Don't be foolish: both consoles are a great future. The Wii just has more to prove. Heck, the PS3 has to prove its worth the steep price. And the 360? Please! 10 million units worldwide only with no next gen competition for over a year? Its not that successful at all! After Halo3? Third party games that are also avalible on the PS3. This stereotypes are stupid. The Wii is no longer a fad: however it can still failure if it does not prove itself. The PS3 has a lot to prove, maybe even moreso than the Wii, thanks to that price tag. The 360 needs to solve hardware issues and keep its momentum going into 2008 before its declared a success.
