Nice way to put up the worst looking DS games that had low production values. Why don't you put up games like Phantom Hourglass, Metroid Prime: Hunters, or New Super Mario Bros.? Those games all look great, mind you, not Gamecube quality, but Phantom Hourglass comes pretty close IMO.

Besides both has great games, it just depends on your own preference!!! Oh and Peacebringer, Mario DS is an N64 port!!!

If I cared so much about graphics on a handheld I'd tell you. Personally, the reason I love handhelds so much is because they are the saving grace for 2D games. Also the limited hardware inspires devs to really be more creative with their games. Yeah, the PSP has better graphics. Yeah it's more powerful and can do thing sthe DS can't. However, in all honesty that power does nothing much for the PSP. At times it's the biggest kink in it's armor. Long load times are not suitable for a handheld, when all I want is to boot it up, start playing, then have the ability to stop at anytime.

The DS is very user friendly. Long battery life for about 8-10 hours. It has many great titles to play. The system's focus is purely on the games, and not to mention it's got something for everyone. Gamers, non-gamers, or casual. If I want graphics to wow me, be impressed by technology, physics, etc, I'll play my consoles. It's nice for it to be on the road, but in the end it hurts the system quite often and truth be told, the games themselves feel like they would benefit more from a console at times. The PSP just has a bit of an identity crisis still to this day IMHO. The DS knows how to do what it's supposed to right.

Everybody who can see knows that the PSP has way better graphics than the ds. But obviously that isn't the only thing the average consumer cares about based on sales.

THE main way the PSP wins as a handheld - if you're playing a game and turn it off, then turn it back on a couple hours later, you're still in your game - you don't have to restart the whole game over. If I'm mid-race, I can pause, stop, and pick it up later.

Saleswise yeah, it sucks - gameswise it's got a much broader market of games, with a much higher scoring rate. Compare them, PSP has more highger rated games. Also, if you say most of the PSP games are ports and rehashes, you're also wrong. There are a lot, but there's also tons of brand new games that are fantastic as well.

Please, I love both PSP and DS but don't bring this crap up again.

You know what even if nintendo take the DS down the same route there taking the wii down, I would still rather them have that hold on the handheld market. If nintendo does get beaten in the handheld market I hope its by microsoft because after experiencing the psp and yeah I have one(even if some of the games are good thats the developers not sony remember) its clear sony does'nt know what handheld gaming is all about. I'll say it was a good first try because there were some concepts I liked, It could have been solid at least if you could have easily played ps1 and ps2 games on it but it general it seemed to me that sony wanted to make a glorified MP3/4 player and the abbility to play games were an add on. Like a mobile phones main purpose is communication but they'll add the abbility to play games.

What are you talking about? PSP is nowhere near a flop. It's the best franchise to fight against Nintendo's handheld division.

How do WE decide? DS is technically inferior to PSP. Fact. Been that way for a few years, not going to change... ever.

But Playstation Portable's lack of $ worthy titles leave it in the dust compared to the value of the cheaper, more value for your $ DS.

You didn't honestly expect the PSP to do better did you? It is Sony's first attempt at a handheld games console, whereasNintendo have been making handhelds for over 25 years, think about it.

Your opinion makes it a great handheld? No, the hype for this system was absolutely ridiculous, music, movies, PS2 quality graphics. It didn't live up to any of it, and all of the other systems that tried to challenge Nintendo failed miserably, sure it's the best attempt, but its pretty far off.
