FF has always been a popular title. but it's also a title that loses steam really fast(it gets the bulk of it's sales in the first week and month, then it's off the chart). we'll have to see if psp sales follow that trend as well.

Pokemon beats ff in fact not just ff but a ff game with ff7 tied to it,:oim speechless but in a good way. About time though im hoping that a certain ff fanboy hears about this (not that I have anything against the ff games there good but the fanboysthey have are comparible to halo fanboys in irritating especially this 1) if they hear they'll go crazy (there hyper sensitive about ff) and its ff7 XD but generally I would imagine its something to do with how many ds's and psp's sold in general. No matter how awesome crisis core may be there's less people with a psp than a ds and theres probably only a very small minority thats going to buy a psp just for this.

The console department was never owned by Sony, either, until the PlayStation. That's what was expected of Sony again this time around, especially since the DS was rushed through development into manufacturing in only six months. The PSP should have crushed the DS, which was a brand new concept anywhere and, by all reasonable expectations, should've had a much slower adoption rate.
