PSP dead?: A comparison between HYPED upcoming PSP and DS games

Whoa. Disgaea DS? DiSgaea I guess :)

Huge Disgaea/Makai fan here, and I've never heard of that game existing. Nippon Ichi hasn't published a game on a non-PlayStation platform that I remember. There IS a Disgaea Portable for PSP.

Meh, either way...you people need to realize that both systems are fantastic handhelds with great libraries. Plus they're both pretty cheap, why not own both?

Hunters does NOT suck. In fact, it's the best handheld shooter I've ever played. Easily. It's my opinion of course, but unless you have a DS, and you have the game, then I can't take you seriously.

Hunters is excellent.

I do not need to own Hunters to have played the game and know that it is the shame of the Metroid series, next to Metroid Prime Pinball. Metroid games on the DS have been flat out dissapointing, and if you're a Metroid fan you'd know that Hunters is the bastard child of the series bearing almost no resemblance to the games that made the franchise great. It's such a horrible shame that when great GBA games like Mario and Luigi and Advance Wars got proper followups on the DS, Metroid Zero Mission and Metroid Fusion would be followed up by a lame shooter made by people who had no respect for the franchise. The DS could have been home to an amazing 2D side-scrolling Metroid, but for whatever reason, Nintendo wanted to do a half-baked FPS that for some reason had Samus in it. My guess is that Nintendo wanted something that could sell the DS as a 3D enabled system (which isn't it's strength anyway), but that's no excuse for why such a sub-par (by series standards) game got released under the Metroid banner.

DS doesnt have as good fighting games as the PSP. You cant compete with Guilty Gear, Tekken, KoF, and Street Fighter.

 and both the ward and silent hill look crap (hell silent hill is made by some no name team in konami). There will never be a quality portbble survival horro as long as devs insist on emulating console survival horro games

Yea, those are the real RPGs to look forward to.  Seems like Bioware and Mistwalker are just pumping out awesome games recently.  Plus, Final Fantisy is getting OLD.

Its called sarcasm man. You can't use emulation as a basis to win a console war because guess what? Its never been a deciding factor. Most people don't even know what emulation is. Bottom line is that the PSP doesn't have the main line of Megaman games. And as history dictates the system that has the new Megaman series and games wins.

Because I don't want to carry a massive computet to play some small handheld game, while i'm traveling. That's kinda the point why people even bother with handhelds and their two generation delay compared to their console brothers. It seems the psp is one of the first handhelds that can measure up to the big console boys.

Are you implying that the primary reason for buying a handheld should be to play roms on illegal emulators and inferiror versions of games you can already get for the PS2 to play on the go?

That's a pretty radical view. If only more people thought like that, then maybe crap handhelds and their crap games wouldn't sell so poorly

No you fail. Emulation isn't the same as having commerically available games. Its called doing something illegal. If thats the case then I guess PC owns everyone, everything and anything because it can emulate anything.

Using Emulation, something illegal that the masses don't even know about as ownage is laughable at best. Put on the Dunce Cap and face the wall. You need a time out.

Still doesn't change the fact that I'm having more fun with my psp then I could ever have with my DS.

Go ahead I'm not going to tell you whats more fun. What you find is fun might be the same or different to another person. But  whatever system Megaman spotlights on wins and that is a fact.

Have fun with your PSP. Bout time someone praises it instead of bashing it all the time. 

 You can also say that to the FF series (regarding the Megaman franchise being on the winning system) excluding spin-offs.. :D

LOLZ. Didn't Monster Hunter Freedom flop? 6.5 as opposed to the original AAA hype? Is the sequel still being hyped?

EDIT: Also, Dissida is a fighting game with RPG elements.
