PSP Go is Pointless

Why on earth would they even think releasing this would be a good idea?

You can't even play your UMD games on it, not to mention the PSP is pretty much already a sinking ship.

A handheld that let you have all your games on the HDD is full of win.

We should see how many games will be avalaible as DD (right now there are a lot) before making judgements.

Why did Nintendo release the DSi? Same reason. More sales, better model, ya dig?

You do realise PSP sold more units than Xbox and Gamecube. I personally look forward to buying the new PSP. Downloadable portable games are very convenient.

maybe because the iphone/itouch is making a killing for apple through its apps store and sony want a slice of that juicy money pie.

i don't want to live in a world where i can only play DS games....on that note i guess if you think that the PSP is a sinking ship then i can see how you would also think that the go is pointless

Come on guys, I'd thought we had learnt by now.

I don't really see a point in it, too. Those who wanted a PSP already have it. Like me, for example. :p Unless the price is very low, I don't see it boosting PSP's sales much.

Because they believe the trend to complete digital download is real, and eventually they plan to discontinue making UMDs.

The PSP isn't a sinking ship; look at the number of high profile games that Sony is planning to release this year and early next year. If the PSP were sinking, Sony wouldn't support it with games and a new iteration of the hardware.

No UMD drive = Fail

it has a smaller screen too

But we'll see if it's really official. I heard it's going to be shown off in a Qore update or probably this E3.

Yes they would be so powerful that they would'nt even think of having 3rd party support so they can have all the money.

no more games from capcom,square enix, etc.

Wii is doing this right now 3rd party developers are afraid of supporting wii because MOST people with wii only buys games which are made by nintendo.

i made a thread talking abt the same thing, and it was locked coz the mod saw that it was pointless becuase there were many other threads talking abt PSP GO.........and now this one..........mods are either biased or sleeping.
