Sony is just desperate. They're trying to steal Nintendo's success, but they fall flat on their faces every time they try. Eventually they are going to just cut the PSP and eventually cut the whole video game branch.NintendoBoy1996

Are you going to have to buy all of the games you already own all over again?

[QUOTE="iammason"][QUOTE="NintendoBoy1996"] Prove me wrong. Everything you say is just opinions, but what I'm saying is backed up by COLD HARD FACTS. PS3 worldwide sales: 22.73 million 360 worldwide sales: 30.2 million Wii worldwide sales: 50.39 million DS worldwide sales: 101.78 million PSP worldwide sales: 50 millionNintendoBoy1996
Facts? You said Sony was gonna be a relic for crying out loud.

It was an educated guess based on sales evidence. You can try to jump off the subject all you want, but the fact remains that Nintendo has dominated this gen.

And yet the other consoles and handhelds are still selling very well. Look at the PSP sales in Japan. Wait and see what the PSP Go does before making any final conclusions. I haven't heard much about the DSi in recent weeks. I'm sure E3 will change a lot of things.

Oh my God give it a rest!!! The psp go bashing is getting way out of hand. The system will sell. It's meant for people who dont want to carry around a bundle of umds. I bet if MS or Nintendo released a handheld that was DD only it would be so awesome!! (sarcasm) But anything Sony does no matter what gets bashed to death. I doubt some of the people complaining about the psp go would have still bought it even if it came with a 2nd analog stick, umd drive,etc..

It's not because it's Sony. It's because they just released a new PSP model 3 days ago, and now they want to change it again? To that thing? No thanks. The controller looks uncomfortable, and anything with a sliding screen tends to break easy.

you do know that they're selling this along side the normal PSPs with a UMD drive. and the PSP is the only real competition nintendo has had in the handheld industry, which IMO is pretty good for Sony's first attempt.

I'd rather they just make a PSP2, but this is a nice bridge between gens of their handhelds. I don't think it will sell that well. I don't think it will sell as well as the regular PSP lifetime, it might even lose to it in month to month sales considering download only might be a concern for a lot of parents buying this for their children and people who are still scared to do online transactions and what not. But overall it will probably give a boost to overall PSP sales.

Ugh! Does your rhetoric ever change? you are a broken record. I don't know why you dont just cut and paste a response. The words may be a little different but you say the SAME thing every post. "Sony stinks, I love Nintendo, Sony is failing, I love Nintendo" we get it.

What about all the DS iterations? It seems Nintendo gets off lightly with their rehashes but not Sony. And Im tired of people complaining about the controls. Nobody has held the system yet and people automatically assume it's uncomfortable. Im pretty sure Sony did alot of testing in regards to the screen too. But whatever. people gona complain regardless. The thing could have the perfect controls,ergonomics,etc.. and people would still whine about something. "OMG Sony why is it so light???!!"

The PSP is the only handheld I can think of that has managed to survive in a Nintendo dominated market for 5 years. It is hardly a failure. Plus PSP GO looks kinda cool. No UMD drive/smaller screenmeans longer battery life. HDD means no games to carry around...

Nintendo hasn't released a new DS every 6 months, or a year. They're a little more subtle in their milking. Sony isn't bashful at all about wanting to rip their herd off.

True that SOny has released a lot of iterations, but not all a re required hardware updates to play games. I'm not going to purchase a Go since I can just purchase a larger memory stick and still play my UMDs. I have a feeling the Go will see most of it's sales from 1st time PSP users.

If you have a PSP and UMDs , just keep your PSP. Problem solved.
