PSP or DS which one

I'd get a PS3 or 360 over those. Because the hand-helds aren't to my tastes, i sit down when i game and its an epic experience or not at all for me. If you travel a hell of a lot however then:

If you are not really a game go for DSL, or if you like JRPGs.

If you like music, movies and piracy go for PSP, its good games too but the best ones are from illegalish sites.

i have done research and still can't decide which one to get, the only other console i have is a ps3.rahul_rul210

i have both and only game that i really enjoy on psp was god of war, others were so-so at best, it took like 3 mins to load ncaa09 to sim other games

There is also Ultimate Mortal Kombat for the DS, but anyway I prefer the DS more because of their huge selection of games. Just chose what library you like more.

Look over each console's library and see which one has more games that appeal to you.

If You get a PSP You can use it as a mirror when racing on Your PS3......

A list like God of War, Disgaea, Crisis core, SOCOM, Syphon filter, Fifa, Manhunt, Wipeout, Patapon, Secret agent clank?
Or Professor layton, Elite beat, Castlevania, The world ends with You, New super mario, Mario kart, Advance wars, Banzai-o spirits, Phoenix wright, Tlo zelda?
They are very different.

DS has the over-all better library.

PSP has a bunch of worth while titles...but not as much.

strictly opinion. Fact: DS has way more games. However its up to you and what type of games you like. Also It depends of it you will use the psps toher functions. Sometimes while traveling, you get bored of games. Maybe you might wanna listen to music or watch a movie.

the DS and PSP are both compleatly worthwhile systems. thing is while they are in direct competition, they are very different beasts.

The DS is all about games. it can play its dozens upon dozens of exelent exclusive titles ontop of the GBAs already large and impressive library. the only extra fuctions it has is a clock and calender on the main menu

the PSP goes for a PS3 in your pocket approach. this in itself is nice to have. though not all of its games are that great for say the morning commute.

Get a PSP. You having a PS3 will make it all the sweeter. PSP caters to every genre and its getting 2 exclusive Final Fantasy games: Dissidia and Agito XIII. Not to mention God of War: Chains of Olympus, the best handheld game out there.TheGrat1

ds has better controls than psp.psp and ps3 are for lazy people

PSP is a jack of all trade, just like Justin Timberlake. A little bit of everything, but not exceling in anyone of them, with a poor battery life to boot.

DS Lite is like a singer with a really good voice and message who unfortunately, suffers from stage fright. And the battery just won't die on me.

You should know that since you like pokemon

and there are many great games for the ds

On topic : Tc I would go for the DS lite (although I have both consoles)

The ds lite has better games (NSMB, Mario Kart, Pokemon, Metroid Prime hunters, Zelda, The world ends with you, Final fantasy 3 and 4, Revenant wings, Animal crossing, Nintendogs, Brain Training, Professor Laytons, Yoshis Island DS, Elite Beat Agents etc)

Better online : Metroid, Starfox, Mario Kart, Zelda, COD4, Grid, Pokemon, Worms, Animal Crossing, Mario Slam basketball (Is that Wi-Fi I forgot? ) and many others (Nearly every game has Wifi but not all games have wifi multiplayer)

Better controls : Touch screen and microphone for people who like something new and standard controls for those of you who prefer it

Still PSP does have better graphics and more features but I'd go for the DS

They're both good choices, but keep in mind if you have a PS3 that makes a lot of PSP titles available on what hardware you already have.

Ive had a psp for two years and let me tell you, it is extremley boring. I originally didn't get it for gaming, but some games wouldn't hurt. I hate myself for never getting a ds.

Tell you the truth, chains of olympus is a godly game, even for a handheld, but that would be my only back up.

I have both. As of right now, I still like my PSP more. Despite liking my PSP more, my DS has been getting a lot more play time lately with FFIV. That will probably switch over when Star Ocean comes out in October. If you like Nintendo games (which I don't; you can take your mario kart and shove it) then it should be a very easy choice which to buy. If you care about graphics and multimedia features, get a PSP.

I don't have very many games for my DS so right now its not getting much play time.

I love my PSP to death though, Crisis Core sucked up last month.

Maybe you should get an Arcade Xbox 360...

But if you want a handheld, I pefer the DS.

Like everybody said it, it depends on your needs; I own a NDS for a year now and I'm getting kind of bored just because I made a wrong decision (or maybe it wasn't?).

If you are more likely to play a JRPG and mario/pokemon based games than to play games with quality graphics, music and videos get NDS. Of course, you can play all the stuff on NDS too, but it really has a poor audio output (for a mp3 player, not when it comes to games). Also, you should ask yourself if touch screen is really important for you, it was one of the main reasons why i bought NDS, but i haven't find much use for it.

When it comes to piracy, you don't have to worry about choice :P.
