PSP vs. DS - THE FACTS

I'll just be outright honest with you - your thread is very uneducated. Don't take this the wrong way, but I beleive you have never played a PSP or, at least, for long.

Here are just some of the things I've noticed. Coded arms is NOT an adventure game. If you wanted to put an adventure game there, put Daxter, Ratchet, Monster Hunter -there are a lot of very quality adventure games for the PSP.

Next, the FPS - wth?

RPG section - that is just messed up. While Pokemon is awesome, there are so many more better RPG games for the PSP - Monster Hunter (bad ratingwise, but fantastic gameplay+fanbase), Tales of series, Kingdom, etc.

Also, it's a fact there are more AA and I also think AAAs for the PSP. If it wasn't for piracy it would be doing much better than it is now, probably on par with DS.

I'm a proud owner of a PSP because of the fantastic titles for it. Please, don't base your observations off of sales or rumours, especially ones you hear on the Internet - make the decision on your own. The PSP can be a fantastic gaming + multimedia machine.

Also, more ownage - PSP had more online games at its launch than the Wii does now. Woo hoo!

I owned a psp at launch and the best game I played was Daxter. After I beat it... I sold it. The thread is based purely off of score to provide the most proficient results, and blame Gamespot for the genres because that is where they are placed. FPS's are very different from shooters just like how Adventure games are completely different from Action Adventure. Shooter is a wider range, and FPS has completely different mechanics and are two very different things.  

This thread is not based off of sales or Rumors but scores. Sadly, scores are the closest thing to fact we have. I personally believe the aPSP is a quality product with quality games, but the DS has a  wider array of gaming choices.

You forgot Daxter which i think got a 9.2 on gamespot and Killzone Liberation which got an 8.3(i think?) on gamespot...not sure though, u miite wanna check....crazyguy92

Daxter is up there, it got 9.1m same with Yoshi's Island. Read the Rules and everything will be explained... 

nice comparison and although the DS seems to be a little overall better you gotta admit the psp absolutely owns the ds in sport games, just look at that listduh555

Let me make this clear, PSP thrashes the DS in the racing genre. MKDS may be the highest scoring handheld racing game but otherwise it cannot hold it's own.

Let me make this clear, PSP thrashes the DS in the racing genre. MKDS may be the highest scoring handheld racing game but otherwise it cannot hold it's own.

its apparantly the best adventure game on the PSP... so it was used.

I don't know if I'm the only one that noticed this one.  For Puzzle game, you forgot Tetris, which is way better than Lumines.  Don't get me wrong, Lumines is awesome, but Tetris, is Tetris.

Other than that, DS is awesome, PSP sucks

All right, well if it is purely by scores, I guess I'm a little less ticked off.

I just really don't like it when people who don't know what they're talking about try to make a point (not you, TC, just others in general).
And I do have to say that GS rates PSP games quite harsh, I'm not saying they're TEH BIASSED!!! I'm just saying other sites rate the games higher in most cases. And games like Monster Hunter, Bounty Hounds, and countless others are severly underrated IMO.
