I currently own a Xbox 360, Wii, and a DS Lite (which I'm selling) and since I have no Sony or handheld console, I was thinking about getting a PSP. What are your thoughts on this? Should I get it? Also, here is a list of games I was considering. BTW, I don't want a DS anymore. Brain Age and Mario Kart are great, but I don't really play it. So, please don't say anything about keeping the DS.

I say nay. Most of the games on psp are sloppy ports of PS2 games, with awkward controls.

I dislike most PSP games. Well, all but a couple. The DS is far better.

Even though they are ports, I don't have a PS2, so it's worth it for me in a way. Controls not good? I played it a few times and felt pretty comfortable with the control scheme.

Up to you. The PSP's got a decent number of good gams, but in my opinion, you have to use the PSP for music, movies, pics, and games to get the full experience. If you want one device that does everything, the PSP is for you. If you're just in it for games, read through some GS reviews and see if there are enough games you're interested in before deciding to make a purchase.

I for some reason can't get into Pokemon. Also, I'm sure there's some kid out there who will get a lot more fun out of it than me.

Well it sounds like you're not into the type of games DS has. For me PSP is definetly worth it, since I basically use everything it has, the movie player, music player, games. As memory get's cheaper, you'll be able to fit more and more. Right now were at 8gb, next later this year or next is 16gb.

I would recomand it even though I don't have one I plan to buy after the price drop. Just wait for the price drop and then you can buy it. I am looking forward to it's game (Crisis Core) but mostly for it's homebrew and multimedia :D

Well, I go to this store, and they sell stuff pretty cheap, and they had a PSP for $160 with 1GB memory stick. So I might get that. Or head to eBay. So far though, it looks like I'm gonna get one.

Why not take the money you would spend on a psp and get a PS2 with some greatest hits games? Unless of course, you really, really want one.
