It will be in early access forever and slowly die while everyone just keeps playing Fortnite which is free and gets updates all the time. RDR 2 is also rumored to have a battle royale mode so if that's true then PUBG will be dead even sooner.

OT: Good numbers but this game is living on borrowed time. As soon as RDR2, COD, and BF release with their own BR modes this game will be abandoned quickly. We are already seeing it losing some of its hype thanks to Fortnite.

@quadknight: you do know that’s like 7 months away. I doubt PUBG will be released from game preview then. It will have 2 more maps, more content and get a proper release.

But those will be the battle royale games cows will have to support waiting for PUBG to come along ?. By the time it hits PS4 I’m sure there will be something better though

Yeah. I think alot of developers are going to start trying to implement a Battle Royale system into games. You heard it here first that PUBG will be irrelevant in 6 months.

I'm not saying it will die immediately but it's popularity will definitely start to drop off hard once the big games start coming out with their BR mode. Two map updates won't fix how badly it runs on Xbox. I even expect a lot of lems to jump ship once the better games with BR come around. We're already seeing that happen slowly with just Fortnite out on the scene, imagine what it's gonna be like once every major AAA dev has a battle royale mode in their game. It's inevitable that sales will start to slow down for PUBG.

I just hope this BR hype die soon, most of my squad on CSGO already gone to play PUBG or Fortnite, and now I am stuck on single queue with random Russian speaking guy

Its had multiple updates since I started playing a month or 2 back and most certainly don't run at 10fps anymore and if it runs in any form until RDR 2 comes out (even if it doesn't get delayed again) it will have made its fanbase and money by then.
