[QUOTE="SHuN_G0Ku"][QUOTE="heretrix"]I don't care why you bought Qore. I was laughing at what you posted. To be honest, I don't even think you have it. You don't seem to know anything about it.heretrix
uhuh.... :|
...i dont understand why you guys gotta downgrade this feature when it's only its first month and could even match Live's features in a lesser price.
I haven't downgraded anything. I'm getting the first issue once I get off work. I was skeptical that you had it when you knew so little about it.I'm pretty familiar with it and would have gotten it last night if they had put the damn thing up.if you're unsure about its features, i would recommend you to purchase just the 1 month deal ($2.99) cuz it might not meet your expectations..

Dude.lemmings are so funny...
if you dont want to buy an OPM magaizine, do you have to?.. no.. if you dont want Qore (which is mostly a HD behind-the-scenes podcast), you dont have to pay for it either...
sure, sites like IGN and Gamespot give the average gamer plenty of free news and previews.. but last time i checked, gaming mags like OXM and OPM are still in business.. and generally, if you want to read their content you have to buy their magazine.. the same principle holds true for Qore.. this is nothing new.. and it's sad that lemmings are trying to use this OPTIONAL content as some kind of "bad news"...
and as far as betas are concerned, how many lemmings ponied up $60 for the Halo beta that M$ shoved into the Crackdown package?.. 'nuff said.. $3 for a sure shot into the SOCOM beta isnt bad at all considering the alternative....
i think the true lemming concern here is that Sony has found a way to generate revenue for the PSN service without having to charge players for online multiplayer... with Qore subscribers and with microsactions via Home (which are also optional), Sony can put more and more money into the PSN service.. this will only serve to make it more and more comparible to XBL Gold, and make many lemmings wonder why their paying $50 a year in MANDATORY fees in order to play a game of Madden 09 or have a deathmatch in Halo 3.....
It just kinda suck that Sony didn't even let the first issue of Qore to be free for everyone. So atleast then, people can have a glimpse on what's in there, and it might even bait and catch new subscribers. Oh well.
Oh yeah, I expect videos on youtube and such to have the videos shown in Qore.
Qore is an online magazine that offers exclusive demos, videos, and betas. There's also a show hosted by some chick named Veronica. Now here's what people who's excited about paying a fee to get early betas and demos and such fail to see, do you really believe that in every month, there will be a new beta or a new demo of every great upcoming games? Plus these exclusive videos, interviews, and that show hosted by Veronica will most likely end up on youtube and such and everyone else could watch these for free.
So in reality there's not going to be anything exclusive with Qore. There's more than one way to get into betas, any video shown in Qore can easily be shown on other sites and be watched free, and these early demos will eventually be release to the rest of us.
Qore will be another failure.
edit: also people are willing to pay $2.99 for a beta in Qore, while in most cases you can receive these betas when you pre-order the game, and in most cases you could cancel your pre-order and get your money back.
ReverseCycology
so you're saying Qore wont have any "exclusive" content thanks to youtube?.. that's like saying OXM doesnt have any "exclusive" content thanks to people posting scans on the internet or simply showing the magazine to their friend.. :|
besides, i'd rather watch this content on my 52" 1080p Sony Bravia with 120hz MotionEnhancer instead of hoping to watch some grainy, washed out, off TV capture on youtube anyway.. same thing goes for those OXM buyers who'd rather look at the actual magaize rather than hunt down some poorly scanned screens over the interweb....
beyond that, everyone knows that XBL Live Gold members get demos and some other content before Silver members.. so how is this a "negative" when applied to PSN?.. your logic fails fundamentally...
and also, most people know that betas arent going to be rolling out every month.. duh.. the Socom beta is just a way to get people buzzed about the service.. much in the same way the Halo 3 beta was used to get people to buy Crackdown.. but the difference here is $3 vs $60 for beta access.. do the math and you fail again sir....

Here's the thing, in most cases you can go to any book store and read the magazine right there and most of the time these "exclusive" interviews and videos can be seen on the internet free of charge. Also there's more than one way to get into betas, one example is by pre-ordering the game, and you can always get your money back if you change your mind. And oh yeah, I got in the Halo 3 beta for free.
So you're saying the people that's put money into Qore is doing the people playing on the PSN for free a favor, that's sweet. I hope more people subscribe to Qore, so the rest of us folks that plays online for free and doesn't pay for Qore will get the benifts coming from the people putting money into Qore. Awesome.

isnt that the same thing that M$ is doing with XBL Gold?.. do you think XBL Silver members would have as much content as they have without the revenue generated from XBL Gold subscribers?.. please.... yes, i hope and forsee Qore subscribers helping Sony to improve the PSN service as a whole.. it's simple math and economics...
and once again, yes you can pretty much find anything news related on the internet if you search hard enough and jump through enough hoops.. then again, some people would prefer to just pay the 3 bucks for the high-definition 1st-party product.. it's up to the individual.. and it's totally optional.. so what's your complaint??... :?
