BUT you can no longer say PSN is free, as Qore is definately part of PSN.

Look, I've already predicted that Sony will eventually charge for the PSN, but just because this cheesy "Qore" idea costs money doesnt mean you have to pay for the PSN.

I will say it's fair to say the PSN costs money if this is the only way you can get any content, like any demo, theme, wallpaper, etc. Then it would be almost fair to say the PSN costs money. But for right now, it's an optional purchase that doesnt affect me... yet. Hopefully it wont.

But (like I said), to make PSN closer to XBL costs. So XBL is not as bad as it seems. It has become evident what types of things you are getting for your money with MS. The only thing is, they did not give you an option to play without paying in this case. They just bundled it all together (sorta like how Sony did not give you the option to have a console without movie watching ability or Wi-fi for less money; they just bundled it all together as well).

Anyway, so now one can say to get PSN plus Qore is $25. What do I get for $25 more with XBL? (Since it already has a QORE like component to it.)

Cows attacked lems and bashed MS when they decided that they'd allow Gold users to have early access to demos, so why is it out of line for lems to attack cows? Cows are just as desperate and they latch onto anything they can. For your info, I bashed MS for their "exclusive" demos deal and I'll do the same here. Demos are to help devs sell their games, not for the console company to help sell their god awful service.

I would say its more of a content based service to match lives. I would never pay for this and i doubt alot of people will, the problem will come if and when sony starts to pull demos and bring them unto this new gold like service
