Whoa after the video I refreshed and it was no longer available. Great demo by the way, I just wish the crowd would shut up. Can't wait for this game!

The landscapes are breathtaking, as is the overall attention to detail. The interface and menu is slick as hell, the animations are vastly improved, spell effects are improved and being able to equip any combination of weapons or spells in either hand is a definite step up. Last, but not least, no more having to restart the game because you end up hating your build. The game levels up how you ultimately decide you want to play on the fly based on the abilities/tactics you use most. Add perks on top of that and you have one hell of a system that is simply smarter and will be specifically tailored to what you want to be without having to select a preset to build on.

Oblivion came out right after Morrowind, seeing as how artistic and out-of-this-world Morrowind was, it seems that they lost inspiration after Morrowind. If they still had the urge to make an Elder Scrolls game after Oblivion, they would have done it, but instead they walked down a different path with Fallout 3. Apparently they missed Elder Scrolls after Fallout 3, and are excited to be working on it again (meaning they have a lot of inspiration and creativity in Skyrim). This can be all PR talk, but it's not like these are baseless statements since you can view full 3D objects in all their glory, the map is no longer just "paper", Micro/macro detail, huge scale, environments look much more varied and lively, the dungeons are hand-crafted and beautiful, and they redid the interface so it's much more streamlined (in a good way). They fixed everything about Oblivion while incorporating the artistic value of Morrowind, it's the best of both worlds. Skyrim is a must-buy in my book :D.

Not going to lie tho, after watching some of this video im really impressed at what Betsheda has done here. It actually looked like they even worked on animations.

Damn I may actually have to buy this game now lol.

Not saying it looked bad, but some people did "boo" when he said that it was running on the 360, Todd was surprised :P If you can get it on PC, then obviously that's the way to go :)

I saw some really good things in this presentation, such as the variety of ambience, the soundtrack and the aparent interactivity with the NPCs and the game world (aparent because Bethesda lied about NPC AI before).

But I'm really concerned about the fact you can be proficient with one handed weapons and shields, dual weapons, a lot of types of magic, bow and arrows and stealth with the same character. This master of all trades approach will ruin the entire game for a RPG player who cares about his role, his strenghts and limitations. Maybe it was just for the presentation, but who knows?

All of the character models finally look great now, not like Oblivion. Some of the dark elves, argonians, and even humans in Oblivion bring shiver's down my spine...not realistic at all.

My thoughts exactly. Bethesda needs to make randomized loot, like in Diablo to make the 300+ hours more interesting. Who cares how big the game is if its boring?
