LOL MS is now officially a PC company.

Xbox games being released in PC is great. A greater audience will allow developers to take more risks in AAA games and to develop more innovative games for smaller audiences.
Yeah, because there's no way those PC developers could miss out on that massive 19 million XBone users who can't even show up to buy Tomb Raider.
There's still a caveat to this that greatly decides what I buy it on, if this won't be available on Steam and the Windows 10 store is a requirement, that's a pretty big deal breaker for me.
They haven't done that with any game this gen have they? Alan Wake was on Steam and Gog both so this should be the same deal. But they might give you non steam code if you do this deal though.

Well since they overhauled everything with Windows 10, the Xbox App, the new Window's Store and so on, we haven't actually gotten a new game yet that they call a Windows 10 game... So I have no idea what is going to come from this.
I'm really curious if it's DirectX 12 though..
Yeh makes sense for them. They can't make Windows OS and keep killing PC gaming lol You can only chose one thing. And Windows basically made them what they are now.
@khoofia_pika: there aren't many reasons left
Sadly, I'm a Gears nut, so I'm stuck. If they announced Gears 4 for PC I would sell the box and use the money towards my PC(processor).

Good call. I fell for the whole, "Buy Rise of The Tomb Raider for 9 bucks on the Windows store" and quickly learned I could not use any of my MSI apps and such. I have no idea what my FPS are or anything. They should fix that and maybe more people would jump on board.
.....well that's the final nail in the coffin, anyone here want an Xbox One because while I wasn't hyped for this I was going to get it just to have an Xbox One game this year, that is no longer an issue.

Such a Cow, I hope you have your GTX 980 ti ready
So is there literally no reason left to get an Xbox One at this point?
If Scalebound jumps ship too, there goes my last reason to hold out for an Xbox.

Such a Cow
Such a cow that I've not used my PS4 in a while and have been buying primarily older games on the Nintendo, SEGA and even Xbox systems but please, keep going fanboy.
Forgive me if I don't see value in keeping a system that gets used maybe once a year (twice if lucky) when I could use that money for better things....like upgrading my PC or buying other games.
PC gamers win again, good that they get to play it also without waiting, definitely in my top 5 games to get this year so I'm excited to get it for the X1. Now you get Alan Wake also for free, definite perk.

You really shouldn't get a system for just 1 game man. Unless Scalebound creates a rift in time and space I wouldn't buy a console just for that.

You've been keeping that Xbox One around since the gen started, I look forward to the same comment when Scalebound PC version gets announced

You say this, however is your PC even remotely capable of handling this let alone Scalebound if it did come to PC? I see a lot of people saying this very thing who's PC's could be classified as a dumpster fire...
Microsoft realizes that there more money in software than hardware.
Thats why there company is worth more than 10 times SONY or Nintendo.
you polish that turd any way you can
Except he is right. Xbox is merely a side business for them. Nintendo pretty much lives off their video games and now that Sony's other more profitable businesses are struggling, they need the Playstation to be successful more than ever.
Microsoft is on the upswing and wants to encourage mass adoption of Windows 10.
Xbox is merely an afterthought to them.
But that by itself is something that is a consideration for us on the consumer end- do we really want to buy a product which has no compelling reason to be bought, and no true backing or support from its parent company? Xbox may have its virtues, but Microsoft's strategy is going to kill it, the same way Microsoft's strategy killed Windows Phone and Zune.
This may be good for the company as a whole- but for Xbox? Not at all. And for fans of Xbox, unless they are Microsoft shareholders, I think the correct thing to do at the moment is some soul searching- ask yourself the question as to what the true appeal of this console is, when the PC does every single thing that it does, but better.

No I've not, I've said that if Rare Replay comes to PC then the Xbox One has NO value to me as a system and you know what, at this rate it doesn't.
Think about that, Rare Replay is the sole reason the Xbox One is still in my household, that's beyond sad.
Know your little lem mind can't comprehend this but I don't like shooters, racers or WRPGs so Scalebound AND Rare Replay are the only thing in the future that I want for this system....yeeeeeeah.
So is there literally no reason left to get an Xbox One at this point?

Okay, so here's a question-
Games such as Scalebound, ReCore, and Quantum Break are enough to make me spend money on a new system. Excellent.
Now, given these systems on Xbox One and PC, which one would I rather spend money on, and why? Riddle me that.
So is there literally no reason left to get an Xbox One at this point?

Eh, I generally don't mind- as a matter of fact, I have almost always purchased new systems for one or maybe two games I really wanted (the system sellers), with everything else being a secondary or tertiary tier of interest that I may look into once I have the system, but is nothing enough to make me want to purchase the system by itself.

Judging from the way you've presented yourself in everything you've said here, your overall interest in PC gaming being very limited and your primary focus being consoles, I think it's fairly obvious that it's not PC.
You can say that it is PC but to even hit the recommended specs for this game you're likely looking at $1,200 minimum.
You want to spend four times or more the cost of an Xbox One to play a few games on a platform you're not exactly over the moon about? That doesn't make any sense.

I really don't care, its pretty clear what you intention was with your comment
I mean with Street Fighter V it was I'll get the PS4 version and PC version, with Quantum Break its Xbox is dead, even though if you buy QB on X1 you get the Windows version for free
.....well that's the final nail in the coffin, anyone here want an Xbox One because while I wasn't hyped for this I was going to get it just to have an Xbox One game this year, that is no longer an issue.
I get Windows 10 edition for free and I been using Windows 10 almost a year now, so this is a win win for me. Scalebound is another story.
Well as far as complete exclusives go....it's a bust.
But cows have to remember that it's still a console exclusive for X1.
Still they keep passing on complete exclusives...they need to fix that.

I've always, always maintained that I have been on the cusp of getting a gaming PC, it's just something I have trouble justifying to myself in the long run. But three system selling ones, one of which is, I need to point out, a game that's at least on Mario Kart levels of system selling for me, is enough to make me ask myself- hey, should I really be spending money on worse ways to play these games on a machine that I at least find inferior to the one I already own, when I can spend a bit more money, and end up with not just an objective proposition to this other machine, but also what is objectively considered to be the best gaming platform, and one which will future proof me more in the long run?
Basically- spend less money now for worse versions of Scalebound, QB, and ReCore? Or spend a little bit money more for the best versions of these games, and also a gaming platform which is built for the long run? It's not a difficult calculation. I do have Microsoft to thank for nudging my thinking in this direction, though, I admit.

Playing the games on low-med settings at 720p\900p for 350$ or play them in 1080p high settings for 800$. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/JCrr3C
Recommended specs are always bollocks anyway.
Decisions

Hey, if you want to spend like $1,000 more than the cost of an Xbox One to play $180 worth of games then by all means do, but you just come off like the kind of person who that doesn't exactly scream viability for.
You don't detest PC gaming obviously, but you've come off like quite the proponent of it not being something you're interested in, I just don't see you doing this... I see you saying this more for arguments sake rather than any type of action you're actually going to follow through with...
Idk why you people keep bashing MS for changing its strategy , they did the right thing and I'm really grateful for that , ... this exclushit policy should die

And to back up Charz statement, myself however, I don't game much on PC and I game way more on consoles cause I have lots of friends who are console gamers, I can understand where Charizard1605 is coming from, remember NyaDC that PC gaming isn't for everyone.
