27k that is nothing to proud about, especially with the pre-release hype.

This game had one of the best pre-order offers if not the best I've ever seen, it wouldn't surprise me if over half of the initial sales for this game were digital.

Is it? Were you saw a preorders. You have a proof? I have a feeling that QB didn't set USA on fire.

Microsoft said the pre-order amount was very large and given what you got it's not a surprise, Quantum Break on Xbox One + QB for PC, Alan Wake + its two DLC's and Alan Wake: American Nightmare all for $60.

That's without a doubt the best pre-order bonus ever, that's technically four games for the price of one.

It is a commercial flop. Every game has a digital version so using retail sales it's a flop.

What? How do you figure? It came out 6 days ago and there's no quantifiable sales data, go away...

That's good. I bet a lot of people in the UK bought the PC version as well.

I hope to play it soon. Just waiting for school to get out, and then I'll see about hopping on the ole Xbone and giving it a good rub.

We know it only sold around 27k in the UK which is poor and didn't even chart in the rest of the Pal countries. It projects to sell 180 to 210k for April NPD. That's a flop.

27k physical copies, not including the digital version which had the most enticing and valuable pre-order bonuses EVER for a video game...

Herpy derpity doo... You know I'm a physical game collector, what do you think I bought?

Your anecdotal evidence is useless here. Digital only accounts for around 20 percent of the sales of most games. Most gamers are not buying a digital version of a 10 hour game with no replay value. You bought 3 copies of Halo 5. Your are not the normal customer.

The game was absolutely great. Deserves the no1 spot imo.

Hopefully this makes Remedy so much money they can make both QB 2 as well as Alan Wake 2.

Give us AW first. And take some of the negatives in reviews for QB to the drawing board and make a better game with the sequel. One can hope.

LMAO, are you even reading what you type? I mean at all?

PRE-ORDER BONUSES... PRE-ORDER...

Also this isn't "most games" because it doesn't have "most" pre-order bonuses, they went all out with this... No game has ever given incentive like this, none, nothing on Earth... You get four games for simply the price of admission to the game itself if you pre-ordered it digitally...

  • Quantum Break on Xbox One
  • Quantum Break on Windows 10
  • Alan Wake + The Signal DLC + The Writer DLC via Xbox One Backward Compatibility
  • Alan Wake's American Nightmare via Xbox One Backward Compatibility

It doesn't take a Master's degree in analytic's to understand that this games initial sales are going to be extremely heavy on the digital front, possibly to levels that even exceed the physical adoption...

You're trying too hard to make this look like a failure, especially in your attempts to ignore things like this, it's pathetic, take a hike.

P.S. A 10 hour linear game that is the expected and normal length for a linear game, also it has good incentive to replay it, even IGN noted this, not to mention you've never played it so you have no idea... Go talk about a PlayStation 4 game or something, stop infecting everything Xbox with your vitriolic cancer.

Digital won't save this game from disappointing sales. We heard the same argument with Halo 5, which will likely have higher digital attach rate than Quantum Break will.

That's lems excuse for every Xbone game when it flopped in sales at retail? Bundles are included in sales in UK PAL charts. The Order sold in much higher numbers in UK launch week with smaller PS4s install base then compared to Xbone numbers today in UK. But, but....how about digital sales?? LOL!¨ Valuable preorder bonus is one thing, preorder numbers is another thing. Oh look, Quantum Break never get at 1st place on Amazon.com, but Ratchet&Clank managed that.

Apparently Quantum Break UK sales are not very good. About 28k according the resident Neogaf sales experts. It just barely beat out Dirt Rally which should tell you all you need to know.

For comparison Bloodborne did 42k in the first week in the UK and ROTR did around 46k in the same time frame. Even The Order 1886 sold 40k!

Sorry lems it is not a hit..

Yawn.

@StrongBlackVine: It is blatantly evident that you are in a desperate need of some arousal... Just please don't do anything naughty to your precious PS 4.

Desperate? LOL. PR from MS looks like a desperate one. They blatantly need some good PR for lems to swallow it.

This game had one of the best pre-order offers if not the best I've ever seen, it wouldn't surprise me if over half of the initial sales for this game were digital.

I'm going with 75% digital much like I suspect was the case with Halo 5. More & more including myself have become much more comfortable and it's so much more convenient to go digital plus the fact of the sweet bonus's offered for preordering digital as well.

Apparently they are having trouble shipping out QB PC codes, and I still have to get an Alan Wake code too :P

So yeah, signs are pointing that this was indeed a success in pre-order. I'm normally for holding off on pre-ordering, but if it's a studio with a reputation like Remedy's, I'm all for it :)

Figured you'd like this. So I got a bit of time for gaming yesterday but saw that I had a message, ahh, great, got my free Alan Wake code cool. Eh, before I get back into QB, just for the heck of it I'll try a little AW just for nostalgia sake. Pfffft, before I knew it I spent all my gaming time playing AW and had to quit before I ever got back to QB. lol :P

You are the lem of all lems. How fucking dare you play and enjoy games that have less than a 90 metacritic. Alan Flop is a 400p game that is linear, repetitive, and an epic fail of all proportions.

BTW, I have the limited collectors edition. Hated every second of the game on my 4th play through.
