I'm intrigued now. Still put off by that live action stuff though. I wonder if I can skip all that lol

aaa guaranteed. hope the game doesnt have too many cutscenes though because there seems to be one every 2 min
I think QB look boring. Just more bullet time, and the shooting is made too easy cuz of the bullet time. You can just run away & hide behind cover when you get spotted. Also, the objects in the environment go back to their spot after you use them. This makes things even more boring & easy.
Fantastic looking game, but like uncharted it's linear and lems all hate that right?
Anyway, this just goes to show how ignorant PC fanboys are and how much the underestimate the advantages of having dedicated hardware like consoles. This game looks better than any PC exclusive, while PC gamers would like to point to those open world space games none of them are actually impressive to look at.
If this game were on PC the system requirements would probably outstrip most rigs not because the xbone is more powerful then PCs but because PC's can't be properly optimized to handle the game.
I've said before that QB is the best upcoming game for xbone not the unseen halo or gears rehab. If I would get xbone for any game it would be this one, but it isn't quite enough for me but good for bone owners none the less.
@kinectthedots: I see what you are saying about linear but don't worry, Halo 5 will be open world. Xbox ONE has you covered. :)

just saying lems are good at bashing something until it is on their system and then they suddenly have no complaints and think it's all great.
FYI: like Infamous Second Son, Sunset Overdrive does not have real time day night cycle! Curiously, I haven't heard a peep out of lems about that when lems made such a big deal about it in the Infamous hype thread being that it was an open world sandbox game.
I am done ribbing you lems though, the game looks fantastic with the best particle effects I've ever seen in any game. Even if the game is beaten gfx wise it may remain the best game in special effects for the entire generation....
but that developer commentary OMG he is the most annoying over-explaining robot voice having narrator I've even heard. He is trying to explain crap that he should just let everyone find out like they really need him to layer his irritating voice over every section of the acting..that's the worst part of the video.
Looks boring. Super linear, lots of cutscenes, extremely claustrophobic. A $60 one-and-done. I said the same thing the first time I saw it too.
Graphics are best part of the whole thing but even they aren't the most impressive things I've seen.
Looks like the best visuals will come down to how much time and money is spend on animation and lighting.
Gameplay looks like it can get boring fast and the mechanic seems overpowered.
Will wait for the superior PC version though.
The time manipulation mechanic doesn't really sell me yet, it is early in the game however, it'd be more interesting to see how it works in a more intense and challenging part of the game.

Sort of like paying for multiplayer last gen, but now its no big deal. High and mighty morals disappeared fast. They all do it.
Great, just what we need more movie games. Graphically it looks a lot like Alan Wake.
I really miss the grit Remedy games had back when they focused on Max Payne.
@ReadingRainbow4
Yeah.... Back when it was Comic Strips in games. LoL... The Irony !
I'd honestly rather have that than a cut scene every few minutes.
Max Payne had such charm. what an awesome game.

I play xbox and I think this game looks boring, way more exited to play Sunset Overdrive or MCC over this anyway. Like a max Pane/matrix game. Bullet time is lame.
@ReadingRainbow4
I'd rather have neither. I just wana play the game...
the comic scenes were over so fast, how did you find them invasive? They were usually used as a way to connect levels. It didn't hurt that they were well done firmly cemented in a Noire like aesthetic.
It helped flesh the world max lived in out in a way that really helped the overall tone of the game.

Agreed. Reminds me of a weird Max Payne spiritual sequel or something. The footage definitely isn't very exciting - lots of flash but I'm not seeing a ton of substance to the gameplay.
Graphically I notice the stronger looking Xbox One titles are following the Ryse strategy - not much focus on texture work but lots of focus on lighting, particle effects, shaders, and post processing effects. Looks great up until you actually stop to look at anything and then you realize everything is low-rez and blurry.
@ReadingRainbow4
No they weren't fast they were just like cutscenes without the luxury of moving pictures.
And whether they invasive or not is not only Subjective its also not the point. They didn't contribute to the gameplay. Thats the point. That plus the gameplay was kinda Average.
Visually, it doesn't look bad. Nothing special though. The gameplay looks like shit though unfortunately. Hopefully there's more to the game.

They contributed to the overall game. also they were nowhere near as plentiful as todays cut scenes either.
At the time of release Max Payne had amazing gameplay, lol. We are talking about an old game here Lulu.
@ReadingRainbow4
Yes... It was amazing for the 1st 3 firefights then it just became average. They introduce new mechanics or introduced new ways of using the same mechanic.
DMC, Unreal Tournament, and The Legend of Zelda are old games too. Its no excuse to fall back on Cutscenes or Comic Strips just because they can't think of any new gameplay ideas.
RIP PC
If Xbox One games can look this good where there ever be a reason to get a PC?

Where are you even correlating a relation between the two as some odd way to belittle Max Paynes gameplay, which it had in spades?
The choice of Max Paynes story delivery system, which was minimalistic mind you compared to the shit we get today did not hurt the gameplay. It didn't stop you mid combat, it didn't tell you how to approach an encounter either.
