@DarkLink77: Fair enough. I like both but enjoy Halo much more
I do, too. Believe me, I criticize because I love that series. Halo: CE is my second favorite game.

@Terrencec06: Here is the Halo series in order...
Bungie made these Halo games:
New Halo developer 343 (cover band) made these:
Halo 3: ODST is skippable and shorter (some love it, and it's still a Halo game), but the main Halo games from Bungie (Halo 1-3 and Reach) were when Halo was on top of the world. Halo Reach was Bungie's swan song for Halo. Halo Reach was a good game, you should be asking if you need to play Halo after Bungie (Halo 4 & 5). In fact, all of Bungie's main Halo entries captured the rare and highly coveted 90+/00 metascores (their side story Halo 3: ODST did not however it wasn't a main entry). That 90+ metascore feat is something not even 343 has done once, although 343 team and 343's Bonnie Ross have spoken in interviews on trying to hit 90+ with their games on of these days.
Halo 4 still attempted to carry the Halo tradition, although fans weren't as thrilled and while critics also enjoyed the game it wasn't quite there, but it was the first try for their first Halo game from 343. Fans were eager to see what 343 could do now that they learned their lesson from Halo 4.
343's Halo 5 dropped the ball for the story big time, but a tiny segment of hardcore super Halo fanatics (there is are two users here that will insist you do that to fix the Halo 5 narrative problems) will tell you to read the novels, comics, and watch the TV shows/movies so you won't come away as disappointed. I've been playing Halo since 2001 and I bought all the entries on launch days, including many C.E.s. That said, I find that appalling, as each movie, book, and game should be able to stand on it's own, but there you go.
I would certainly put Halo Reach's story over Halo 5, and probably Halo 4, if playing for a competent story and narrative. The only downside is Reach was a prequel, but a highly praised Halo game.
There is no bad main Halo games, but the worst two came from 343.

Disregard.
Why isn't Halo Anniversary Edition BC??
because its a part of the master chief collection
Ah that's bullshit. MCC runs like shit.
Campaigns run perfectly fine
I don't know, I remember buying the MCC and finding CE's campaign to run like utter shit. So bad that I returned it.
Doesn't ODST come with the digital MCC now? If not, it's only $5, and yeah I say if you're going to be experience all of them then yeah ODST is worth that small price of admission, and worth experiencing as one of the unique entries in the series. Reach too is also very much worth experiencing too, but a shame it never got an Xbox One upgrade.
