If Nintendo fanboys are called sheep and X-Box fanboys are called lemmings, what do you call PlayStation fanboys?mmlgamer
idi....
cows
lol. crabs was just a fad. It's really Cows. Unfortunately.Hey, I'm reading all of these Mass Effect topics and it seems that people prefer the term "cows" over "crabs".
Is it too late to change this tradition or what? CRAB BATTLE!
mmlgamer
I like Crabs better.
Okay. Now someone needs to explain to me the idea around using "cows" as the main term for Sony fanboys.mmlgamerSomething to do with getting milked for peripherals (such as only 2 controller ports on the PS2)
I actually think the 360 is far worse this gen, for extra costs.
It does help that Sony priced their machine so much higher than any other this gen, or the Cow term might have died completely.

coz they get milked too much, like buying a ps3 = milkage coz it doesnt have good games YET so buying it now is waste of money......Sony is milking cows

And Sony packages all of this useless crap such as Blu-Ray in order to help themselves. Cows get milked by that. Sony only wants to expand their formats. That's why they got into the industry and that's why they are still in it. Sony cares more about imposing a format than the well being of the gamer and was acutally willing to charge $500 min at launch.I think I understand the reasoning behind the term "cow", however there is something else that concerns me.
According to the forum rules, sheep, cow, lemming, and hermit are the only acceptable terms for fanboyism. This raises two questions:
1. Am I violating the rules by using the term "crab" in this manner?
2. What is a hermit?
No one is gonna mod you for using crab.I think I understand the reasoning behind the term "cow", however there is something else that concerns me.

hermit - PC gamer. pretty obvious why, i'd say (just watch the WoW South Park. :)
Hermits are PC fanboys. Nobody acknowledges them as someone worth arguing with though.I think I understand the reasoning behind the term "cow", however there is something else that concerns me.

Well, I believe this will conclude my part in this topic.
I'm sticking with "crab" as my term for Sony fanboys. "Cow" just seems to be more insulting than fun, and I'm more into fun.
As for "hermits", I don't think I'm even going to bother with putting that in my sig, even though my sig would technically be incomplete without it. It just doesn't seem worth the thinking and typing time.

or because when console fanboys try to they get owned andmade to look foolish
if you're using crabs its also because they try to go sideways around any arguement :PWell, I believe this will conclude my part in this topic.

The only reason why I use "crabs" is explained in my sig.mmlgamer

Actually you need real time weapon change to defeat this giant enemy crab.
What does all this mean? Simply put: RIIIIDGE RACER!

YOu are completely right. The term "cow" was the first animal label to be applied to a group of fanboys. It was started by lemmings who were getting 4 controller ports, built in HDD, built in ethernet, and free warranties while Sony charged extra for every one of those things. Lemmings dubbed this "milking".
The term cow became so popular so fast that fanboys all started trying to come up with names for what we now call the "lemmings" and "sheep" and eventually "hermits".
I agree that the "cows" seem to be getting milked the least this gen, but frankly the original concept was just to popular and perfect. It would be hard to get people to change at this point. It is ingrained in us.
