Just buy it if you want to play it and invest what little time you can into it. No one said you have to invest all your time into it or finish it A.S.A.P. I have games from 2007 that I'm still playing right now lol.

Demons souls wasn't a long game or that hard.(I beat it 5 times) So I doubt this one will be either. They just punish you for making mistakes.

No game requires 8 hours/day of investment to be enjoyable, or completable. Sure, it'll take months to finish, but if its the only game you are playing, and you are enjoying it, what is the problem? Could perhaps you feel that you may not be able to stay focused on it, and possibly could get bored of it and not finish?

You really think responsible adults can't manage their time well enough to play a game like this regularly on the side? I guess you could add all MMO's and multiplayer games and long RPG's to that list of unplayable games. How can you justify having free time when you have kids to feed you selfish horrible persons?!?!?!?

That's actually the reason why I'm considering cancelling my pre-order. I have too much to do this upcoming semester, so I'm not sure if I will have enough free time to dedicate to this game, and this is a game that requires dedication. I still haven't made a decision.

i think youre starting with the assumption that the game wont be worthwhile if youre not consistently beating a boss or leveling up. in demon's souls, i could go through 2-2, die at the flamelurker, lose my souls, and still have had a good experience. i had seen the miner drones mindless clawing away at walls with their fingers, gotten lost in the narrow bleak tunnels, had an encounter with the raging flamelurker, learned what not to do in that battle, and had the brutality of the game world hammered home. i didnt lose my time at all.

Yes. Just squeeze in some playtime between work, school, kids, etc. Dedicate an hour or so to playing it, setting goals each day.

The game is incredibly tough and takes a long time to master without any YouTube videos for help, but its rewarding to beat the first time and even moreso the 2nd.
