I haven't tried it yet, but I think if your friends have a netflix subscription too, then you can both chat & watch the same movie together. Not 100% sure though.
I'm not quite sure if you can with this update I think they said in the spring update which is the 2nd half of the NXE. But how it works is you need a subscription and they do aswell, then you can both watch together
