Well my 360 was a gift, and I won't be buying a PS3 until 2008 for 2 reasons:

A.) Possible price drop

B.) It has the godliest libraryI've ever seen coming in 2008,why get one now?

I own a 360 and not a PS3 because i'm not spending $500-$600 on a console.

If FFXIII was out already maybe I would, but its not expected until 09 so i'll just patiently wait until an attractive price point comes.

Satisfaction could be a reason for a lot of people.

I bought a PS3 at the price-drop, and the only reason I don't have the other systems is an empty pocket. I had to buy myself a computer, books, and all that stuff. Otherwise I would own a 360 by now and be able to get Halo 3 at launch :(

I do plan to get a Wii at the end of the year, and a 360 sometime next year.

Number 3. And to an extent, Number 4 for the 360, throw in reliability issues as well.

I will buy a PS3 when it has a lower price point and it actually has AAA exclusives

...I own a 360

Price is a factor. I will ever spend more than $200 for a console, and it took a lot to convince myself to drop the extra $50 on a wii.

I'm also pretty happy with my wii and PC.

Also, I'm not very intrested int he 360 titles I can't already get on my PC and nothing on the PS3 sans LBP intrests me.

Here's my situation, and I think there a lot of people out there who sympathize:

I consider myself an avid gamer, but I dont want to be one of those guys who has every console. I dont play enough to justify that kind of time and money. I decided early that I wanted a wii + 360/PS3. I'm waiting for the decision to be easier. 360 seems like the obvious choice, but the ps3 seems like it hasn't really shown us what it's all about yet, so I'm giving it some time. During '08, I'll know for sure. There will be a great combination of better games and better price too, and then the comparison will be more fair

2. :( I own the Wii (not because of the price, I've been a Nintendo gamer my whole life), and I want games for the 360 and PS3 but they're too expensive for me. So I guess it's a combination of 2 and 3.

I play videogames since the ATARI era and I just own one videogame (of this generation).

I have a 360. There's still not enough games I like to warrant a PS3 purchase right now. However I will get one eventually for games like Metal Gear Solid 4 and Ryu Ga Gotoku among others.

As for the Wii, I'm not interesed at all in that console.

i have a wii and it was really an impulse buy. seriously, last year I never went into forums like this and knew pretty much nothing about the wii until like 2 weeks before it came out, i heard that you can download old nintendo games and it had a motion sensing controlling and it was cheap, so i bought one and im glad that it exists purely because i'd have nothing to play but old ps2 games if it wasn't for the wii.

i don't think i'd buy 3 consoles though, who has that much time on their hands? my second console this gen is a tough choice between ps3 and 360 (probably won't get either until christmas 2008 )

The reason I only have a 360 is that there are barely any games for the wii and ps3... that and my wallet is pretty empty right now.

Plus, i already own a ps2 and gamecube, so why bother buying a $600 or $250 console when the added games aren't nearly as good as the ones for my ps2 and gamecube.

Number 4 is the reason I sold my ps3.OGTiago
