If you guys don't formulate a criteria for what constitutes a commercial success, you are going to have these kind of discussions all the **** time... Here's a thought... find out a game's budget and gross revenues, if you guys are so obsessed with being technical about which console's consumers are really gobbling it up.SolidCLOUD_
I think any game that sells a million is pretty successful in my book. That's a good profit even with a very high budget, each game costs $60 new and goes down over time, but even then a million from that is A LOT. You do the math.
Most PS3 exclusives get into the Greatest Hits, in order to do this a game has to get genearlly good reviews AND good sales. 360 has their own brand of this called Platinum Hits, same thing.
The same reason some people believe in Scientology or think the Queen is a lizard person.Floppy_JimThe Queen IS a scientologist ....silly

Tell that to Curt Schilling!
[QUOTE="ShadowMoses900"][QUOTE="ispeakfact"] You know...if you think about it, with Kinect Adventures being the best selling 360 game, it really shows that the 360 audience is pretty much the same age as the Wii audience. Mostly kids.spiderluck
Well as you said, most 360 owners also had a PS2, only reason they went with 360 this time was because they were adults with fixed incomes and couldn't afford a PS3, or they were kids whose mommies and daddies got them a 360 instead.
They never had a real choice, they don't actually have a prefrence for 360, it's what they got stuck with and they have to make the best of it. I can bet you if you offered them a choice to switch to PS3 for free with all of their multiplats and saves going over to it, the majority of them would take that deal.
They want a PS3 and they know it. They are just very jealous of it because they are not happy with their own system.

It pained me to see that studio close down...[QUOTE="captainqwark20"]bbbbb yoy said NO GAMES so what happened? Oh, Uncharted=8 million. Compared to what Fable? Which sold around the same? Also notice the 360 games in the hundred thousands? Xbox players don't buy games!KBFloYd
so 1 game is ownage...no.. EDIT...and that one game was 7million not 11.
uncharted 2 sold 6million buddy
uncharted 1- 5million
uncharted 3- 5million
it takes 3 or 4 games to equal one game on wii...360 has halo, kinect, and call of duty, and gears of war.... 360 sells better than ps3 but not by a whole lot but it does...
dont even compare ps3 sales to wii sales though..
Are you seriously counting Wii Sports??? That game that was basically free when you purchased a wii???
