[QUOTE="metroidfood"] [QUOTE="BigJerm1"]LOL @ the sheep who's knocking this gen for its glut of sequels. Check the Wii's library....about the only thing worth playing is lackluster sequels to old school Nintendo games with little or no innovation. Nintendo must love you sheep. They're in their second generation of being able to live off of their name alone and you keep eating it up. I'd rather play sequels to newer IP's than play rehash of 20 year old franchises that consider crappy waggle controls to be innovation. This is coming from a Nintendo fan from the 8-bit days, and even I'm tired of their crap.BigJerm1
Okay, this bugs me. How is a game like Super Mario Galaxy rehashed more than something newer, like GTA, when 20 years ago the Mario games weren't even in the same dimension as SMG?
Seriously, just because the IP was around 20 years ago, doesn't mean the games were the same.
Mario Galaxy was a great game, but was it really innovative? It was a touched up Super Mario 64 with lackluster waggle controls tacked on. Nintendo makes great games, but what really changes? Mario Kart Wii was arguably a step backward. Mario Party is about as stale as a game can get. Zelda? More of the same. You want to bring up GTA? Fine. Did you play parts 1 and 2? They weren't "in the same dimension" either. Seriously, what has Nintendo done to evove their big franchises since the N64 days? Ruin Metroid by making it 3D? Yay.
i like how you dismiss Nintendo games for issues that apply to almost every franchise this gen...
