The difference in graphics between 360 and PS3 is going to be small, no where near as big as it was between the PS2 or Xbox. The 360 could continue to produce better graphics then the PS3 or the PS3 may be the one with the better graphics but whatever does happen the difference will not be big. They both have the same amount of RAM and that is going to be the biggest limiting factor on both platforms. The only place your going to get significantly better graphics is on PC.

There are these things called paragraphs, use them. Apart from making it easier on the eyes, paragraphs also help me in identifying what the main points are.

If Microsoft themselves can not surpass the technology of games like Bioshock or Heavenly Sword on their own console, with a completely in house development, that has been in the works for well over 3 years, how can one expect to see an increase in quality in games to come?

Just read it, it took me about 50 seconds to read it.

It is harder to develop for as they have become adapted to the 360 as the base of their work, and port from there, but now, developers are beginning to look at the PS3 as their foreground, with the 360 as the port.

The reason they're doing that is because it's just like the guy said, the PS3 is much harder to develop for, so it's only common sense that you'd start developing for it first because porting PS3 --> 360 is significantly easier than the other way around. John Carmack predicted this exact very thing in a piece that lamented developing for the PS3. I hardly think this signals the beginning of the death of the 360.

BIoshock and Gears both look years ahead of H3.. and that's only 2 years into the system's lifecycle. By the time 2k8 hits you'll see much better games as the devs get more familiar with the hardware.. Don't give me this crap about the system "reaching it's peek" simply because H3 didn't blow peoples socks off. The game is still better than 90% of the crap on PS3/wii.

Saying the 360 has reached its potential already is such a stupid thing to say. First off, Halo 3 just recieved a 9.5 score, mostly great scores around the world, and is the fastest selling game of all time. If Halo 4 was just as good it would do the same thing irregardless of graphics. Its a great game, but not indicative of the 360's full potential. Its usually four years in before a console has been maxed out, and the 360 isalmost two in. With Mass Effect, Alan Wake, Banjo 3, NinjaGaiden and no doubt Gears of War 2 coming, as well as Lsst Remnant, two more Mass Effects. Bungie's new IP, Too Human, and Lost Oddysy all coming its just stupid to think the 360 hit its peak. And last but not least, lol, with all the cash Bungie is making and Halo 3 ending who's to say in 2 years we won't see a Halo 4.

Sorry, but graphically I have seen no PS3 title that I feel is superior to Bioshock, Mass Effect, or Gears of War so far. Furthermore, no game as good as Halo 3. That is why the 360 is selling pretty well given its pricealmost everywhere outside of Japan. And with another price drop and its killer fall/winter lineup if anything you had better hope someone starts giving a damn about the PS3. Potential is a nice word untilpeople start getting tired of waiting for it.

Good thing I'm happy now with my 360 and will be in 2008 as well. As for cows, keeping praying that a price drop, MGS, Little Big Planet, FFwhatever, and Killzone 2 can save the day in 2008. They will face Ninja Gaiden 2, Cry-On, Gears of War 2, Banjo 3, Too Human, Splinter Cell, and a host of other games, If any of the BIG hree Sony gamesflop you will be in big trouble.

you wanna buy a new console, buy a 360 if you're looking for short-term gaming, a system with great titles already out.

buy a PS3, that's better for the long-run. almost all the games that made the PS2 sell so much are still PS-exclusives and not out yet.

buy a Wii if you just want to have fun with your family and friends.

I actually enjoyed Gears a lot more... Although I'm still tinkering with the Online portion.

by the time Sony gets ready to 'take out the big guns' the next gen will be upon us - so i guess if you're really really patient and want to play MGS and FF and think those rewards outweigh the great gaming going on with other systems, then peace be with you my friend, enjoy the wait and I honestly hope those games you're waiting for are worth it.

Uh no, GTA/Madden have switched over.

People forgot that Xbox had horrible initial sales because EA refused to make games for them. Those attracted numerous casuals and since GTA is no longer timed exclusive, and Madden is on the 360 alot of casuals will buy the 360 for that reason.

Those are the games that made PS2 sell.
